Clickbank and Bing ads direct linking success

@techable Hey Dave as an affiliate marketer what do you look for when promoting a supplement on Clickbank. I know good commissions are one thing but does anything go into your criteria? I'm currently redesign my landing page but I just want to get some information in regards to getting a listing on Clickbank that would attract affiliates.

One of the most important things to me is having options for landing pages. If I'm sending native traffic I want to send them to a VSL to warm them up to the offer. If I'm sending lukewarm traffic I want to send them to a text sales page because they've probably already seen the VSL. If I'm sending hot traffic (eg.they searched Google for "How to buy Alex's cool product") I want to send them as close to the buy button as possible.

i tried 6 different products from 0.81 gravity up to 123. not a single click and score up to 5/10.
Bing started suggesting to add more keywords

Were these all in one campaign?

How many keywords per product?

All brand name keywords?

What positions in the SERPS did they get? Gravity score 0.81 product got what position in the SERPS? Gravity score 123 product got what position in the SERPS?

How many clicks did you receive for each product/keyword/campaign combination?

And what should be the criterion to evaluate which traffic to send ??

each one has its own campaign. all have its own brand name keyword. Not a single click.Quality score its either 4 or 5/10

They are there -- good hunting ;)

there are not even in the first page
That's what you need to address then. They're not on the first page because you bid is too low or, if you're direct linking, someone is already on page 1 for that domain so you won't be able to get there (in which case you need to find a different product to promote).

Please don't mistake the process I've laid out in the video as a step-by-step plan you can follow without adding your own analysis and adjustments to. You need to analyze what's happening and adjust or junk based on that.

Here's quick tip:

Bing campaigns that may be experiencing direct linking difficulties because Microsoft are in the middle of making some tracking template changes. This video explains what to do if you have problems setting up direct linking campaigns:

Hi everyone!

Here is a similar case study with Google Ads. More traffic in Google means more clicks and faster results. Check it out:

Cheers,
Dave

Hi Dave, thanks for the case studies. I am wondering, why didn't you scale it up? You have posted your bing case study on August 10th. Then on August 21st you posted a google case study. But in google case study video you login to cb and there are stats showing $0 sales from 12 August to 17th August. Am I missing something?

Good points!

There's a couple of things.

Firstly, when I have a profitable campaign I move it over to another CB account - the account you see is just a testing account.

That said...

Secondly, I'm not running the case study campaign anymore. After releasing the videos my ads suddenly got a surge of non-buying clicks (I presume it was from other affiliates who had seen my videos) so it didn't make sense to keep the campaign running.

Thanks for replying. I wonder do a lot of campaigns die fast like this? How many on average keep running profitably out of what you test?

Most campaigns don't die so fast... Someone's still direct linking to the product. I just stopped because putting out the video caused my ad costs to go up.

I just try out this method. I was able to make my first ever sales on clickbank. All thanks to teachable. I am a loyal subscriber to your YouTube channel.

criterion
Not to get off track ... KYC Know your Traffic (KYT)
Your server logs (redirects work append the ip2long or an inet identifier)
persona identification and segmentation
I know how to use US gov't census data and IRS income data by the IP's zip code * this is also very useful in overbidding for a productive segment of traffic also.
