Good morning/evening everyone.

My name is Mustafa from Stonebridge Associated Colleges nice to e-meet you all :)

I'm new to this forum, just wanted to introduce myself and the company I work for and get some pointers from you guys.

So I come from a techy background in the affiliate marketing and recruitment is a new thing to me.

My CEO wants to go with direct traffic but we don't have an internal tracking network other than using good old GA. We use Webgains so my question is, is direct traffic better than using an affiliate network and pay them % override or shall I concentrate on recruiting affiliates via the affiliate network to get a better tracking system?

Lastly as I mentioned I work for Stonebridge Associated Colleges which specialises in the distance learning, education and online courses I'd love to partner up with affiliates promoting the education and online courses industry, if we're partnering up via direct traffic and conversions we can negotiate commissions as well. Otherwise if we go via Webgains then the base commission is between 8% and 12% with up to 30% voucher codes discounts.

I'd really appreciate all the help I can get many thanks fellas :)

Kind regards,
Mustafa

First of all, congrats on the new position!

I was in the same situation like you.
I have experience in both of the option and now I can tell you that I prefer to have our own Affiliate Program, rather than join an affiliate network.

I like to keep it more personal, to get to know each of my affiliate personally and to help each one of them to maximize his results.
Yes, it's not an easy part to recruit new affiliate, but as an affiliate manager your job should focus on recruitment and managing the affiliate - improving them, give them whatever they need to boom you with high-quality traffic/leads,
And just be their friend, they don't need or want a "boss", but yet professional.

Regarding the recruitment, once you will have a tracking platform (I am using PostAffiliatePro, they are great), and you will set it all up you will be able to recruit by a lot of ways.

- Forums (like this)
- Ads, FB and other social.
- And the Classic way, of searching online (research) and go straight to the owner of the website that you think can be a potential affiliate.

Hope it helps you.

Ps, you should consider having such of a CPL commission scheme as well.
Something reasonable.

Thank you very much for your reply I've just checked the starter pack, there's a one time fee, what about monthly or any other fees? that's very attractive offer. Thanks again for this platform I'll speak with the CEO about this option tomorrow :)

No problem. Happy that you liked it.
In order to run your own affiliate program, you will need the monthly subscription - the Pro plan of 97 per month.
They have amazing support, the best to be honest, and that is one of the most important things when you set up your affiliate program from zero.

Let me check with them if there is an option to give you some discount for referring someone.
Check with the CEO.
They definitely worth it.

Welcome to AffiliateFix!

Nice to have you here.

You will get more responses by asking your questions in a more appropriate sub forum here as this is an introductions thread and not as abundantly monitored as many of the other forums. However, we love our intro threads and the folks that start them. We appreciate a chance to get to know more about as you begin to engage the members here.

Looking forward to your posts and threads.

Hi Mustafa,

Great to e-meet you too.

I have some ideas that I think could help regarding Stonebridge's traffic and course promotion. Feel free to message directly if you're interested in discussing further.

Best,

The advantage in a CPA is the seller has a known cost based on an affiliate's performance.
With any advertising, the cost will vary --and unless you are a larger credit-worthy ad buyer the cost will be up front.
