Unless you buy Zeropark's 'premium' traffic (which is overpriced in some geos), I would advise you to look to other traffic sources. A lot of the normal Zeropark traffic is either rebrokered or remnant traffic and the quality is quite low.

There are better traffic sources out there that you will need to find a converting offer.
Thanks Sephrata. What traffic source/sources would you suggest then? Write it here or PM me, thanks! :)

Good luck to you .Please keep us updated
I will! I'm doing 10h days at the moment. Thanks :)

Sorry for waking up this post after more than 6 months of sleep.

First I hope that Mr.Z is doing great.

I read the whole thread and at the end I fell I'm missing something, I guess what I'm missing is the end.

After a year since everything start, there is not final result, good (hopefully), neutral (still trying) or bad (hope not)

This inactivity is very scary for most of the newbie here like myself. I mean Mr.Z looks like the perfect candidate a Super Affiliate. Very well organized, super technically oriented, well trained, committed to success.

If he can't make it, Then who can?

Mr.Z, I'm really hope you are doing great and so busy that you have no time for this forum. In the name of all newbies here.

Best of lucks.

@Accidental Genius, wow, very motivating, thank you for your support, I very much appreciate it :) Well, I haven't been doing anything in mobile CPA since September, however, I'm alive and gonna try again soon! I'm just remastering my plan and I think it will work this time ;) I'm doing technical stuff at the moment, migrating from GoDaddy to DigitalOcean, reading Charles Ngo blog, downloading and editing latest LPs from AdPlexity, updating my mindmap (see Update #5 on page 4 in this thread) etc. I want to focus just on my master plan this month, draw conclusions from last year's experience and I will come back to playing with campaigns in May.

Summary: Last year I've tested over 50 different campaigns on ZeroPark and couldn't make it work. I think my mistake was that I wasn't gaining enough data. I should test 20 campaigns and play more with the data instead and that's one of the things I'm gonna change this year.

So, this month I'm doing everything, but no campaigns and starting in May I'm doing campaigns only, that's the plan. Unfortunately I'm very short with time and money and can do just about 1,5h/day, however, I'm a bit experienced with campaign launching, preparing LPs etc. so it should be ok for now.

I've learnt few nice tips and tricks, mainly from Charles Ngo blog and in about a week or two (or maybe sooner) I want to post a nice update here how to make landing pages load in shortest possible time.

Anyone can, if they have the commitment and are willing to go through the learning process, which typically has some trials and mistakes. But those are valuable learning opportunities. :)

Please don't be discouraged. You stand as good a chance as anyone else.
Any updates? I know it's been brought back but it was looking so good!
would love to hear from @Mr.Z what happened too
Would love to hear any updates?
Thank you for your support! :)

great :D and why did you migrate from godaddy to digitalocean? & also do you have some coupons, discounts for digitalocean?
I migrated to DigitalOcean, because speed matters and GoDaddy has servers in USA only while DigitalOcean has servers in various different locations in the world (USA, Netherlands, Singapore, UK, Germany, Canada, India). Also, DO is waaay cheaper than GD: For 1GB Ram / 1CPU VPS you pay $5 vs. $30!!!

I realised how crucial the page load speed is after I read Charles Ngo post on his blog. He changed server from US to SG for Singapore offer (+ used offer link nearer country he promoted the offer) and his ROI jumped from 55% to 105%, so almost doubled. Amazing! Don't you think? :)

So, I'm gonna use DO server for example in Singapore when promoting offer in Singapore, server in Netherlands when promoting offers in France etc.

Of course I have coupon :p $10 free credit for DigitalOcean! Click here to claim :)
If you need help with setup, let me know and I will post step-by-step instruction!

-------------------------------------------------------

Instructions
I use Ubuntu image when build droplet
Add domain to DigitalOcean account
Setup server on DigitalOcean droplet

This thread is dead, I think.

Unfortunately, focusing on the technical aspect is essential but you are missing the big picture.

More importantly, imho consistency is what you should first focus on as this thread has been abandoned several times.

UPDATE #10

Thanks guys. @medvih This thread may look dead, but I am still alive and trying to succeed :D:D:D
I've been working full time with CPA offers for over a month now. I put all the technical bits and pieces together, my new better plan is in place, but I can't find good offer that converts and that's the only element I need at the moment, but I'll write a bit later about that, first less important bits.

WHAT CHANGES I HAVE NOTICED SINCE LAST YEAR AND WHAT I HAVE BEEN DOING LATELY
1. Sweepstakes and voucher SOI offers became worse.
I'm trying to make these offers work since the beginning ($1-$5 payout, I'm testing 2 GEOs now). I have impression that making those convert is much more difficult than last year when I managed to have -70% ROI back then without any experience and with LPs with 2% CTR, while now I can't make them work even with landing pages that convert at up to 20%! I don't know why they are even called SOI while they are actually DOI nowadays as visitor needs to click a confirmation link in an email sent to him after he completes all the required steps. The funnel also looks a bit too long: user needs to perform a lot of actions before conversion takes place (all offers of this type from 2 different networks are pretty much the same):
- user takes 3 to 4-question survey normally (on offer page!)
- inserts his contact details, including name, postal and email address, phone number, DOB etc.
- answers a number of additional questions, usually 10-12
- quite often there's even more, e.g.: answer "Why should you win this competition?"
- confirms participation by clicking a confirmation link in email sent to him (the email often lands in SPAM folder)
I've tested a lot of angles, LPs etc. because my AM sent me a report couple of times showing some of those offers convert up to 10% (CR!) with up to $0.40 EPC! So I thought, I'll try everything possible to make them convert, no results even after $100 spent to test offer with $1.30 payout, unbelievable (see screenshot below, the green one is smartlink). However, now I know those high numbers are from Facebook, not mobile. My new AM told me I should rather pick offers with lower CR and EPC as there's higher chance people made them work on mobile popups.
voluum_2018_1.png

My question to you guys: is there anyone making any profit promoting this type of offers or am I running circles here? I appreciate any advises and criticism and this is super important to me. Thanks in advance!
Here's a general screenshot from my latest test:
voluum_2018_2.png

And here's an interesting thing:
voluum_2018_3.png

Android's CTR is exactly 2x better than iOS, BUT CR is almost 5x worse. So now I want to perform some tests and try to increase Android CR and/or iOS CTR.
2. Codewise (Rob Gryn's company) makes affiliate's lifes harder. Zeropark and Voluum: I used them both as my only traffic source and tracking platform.
[1] VOLUUM: As probably everybody already knows Voluum went f*****g crazy and tripled their prices literally overnight and now the cheapest plan costs $299, which makes a lot of people migrating to other trackers. If you haven't choose your new tracker yet (unless you're super affiliate generating huge profit and don't give a shit about Voluum's new price policy), I highly recommend Charles Ngo's article: charlesngo.com/affiliate-trackers (just in time! :D)
[2] ZEROPARK: Last year you could check volume and CPC on zeropark.com/volume and set it as campaign CPC (+ add few points up), e.g. for one of 2-tier countries there's CPC $0.0004, so you could set $0.0006 in your campaign. But now this is impossible: there's only 1 price suggestion for all 2-tier countries in general, which is $0.0027 and you can set 50% of that as minimum ($0.00135), which is over 3x higher than before for some countries. A bit unfair in my opinion. However, traffic quality looks better, so it's not that bad news!

PRIORITIES
I focused on 2 things lately: find LANDING PAGES THAT CONVERT + improve FUNNEL SPEED. I completed both milestones and here's what I've done to complete it:
1. Landing pages. Last year I couldn't make LPs convert higher than 2%. Now after dozens of tests I have found LPs that have 8% CTR without any meta-redirects or anything, user has to manually click through the page (few steps, not just one link to the offer!). After I tweaked couple of things and added 90 seconds meta redirect (auto-redirect) to offer page, like @cashmoneyaffiliate suggests, the CTR jumped to about 17%, which is pretty damn good :p. I don't want to show or describe these LPs for obvious reasons, but here's few things I can share and hopefully some of you will find this info helpful (this applies to LPs promoting sweepstakes and voucher offers):
- raise urgency (countdown timer usually does the job)
- use personalisation: call out user's ip address, device brand and model, carrier etc.
- increase trust by adding comments and ...use your creativity ;)
- explain in detail what the visitor needs to do on the next page (offer page)
- keep it simple and "transparent": 1 image (an iPhone, voucher etc.), copy that makes sense etc.
2A. Funnel speed in general. See Update #1 for some basic tips how to improve landing page speed and Update #8 for some additional advices about landing pages. Now, I've done a number of additional steps and lots of testing to make the funnel as fast as possible. I make LP alone load in under 3 seconds for 3G connection which is even less than half of a second for cable (always use webpagetest.org for speed tests as it is an industry standard!) and that includes all the images, stylesheets, scripts, jquery library, comments etc. I can share few tips in this topic:
[1] CLOUD-BASED TRACKING PLATFORM with data centers on various continents: Voluum is great but very expensive after the pricing change. Thrive is considered Voluum's #1 competitor and there's other great trackers out there such as Adsbridge, Funnelflux etc. Again, read Charles article I mentioned above, awesome stuff.
TIP: Subscribe to Thrive through Charles link and you'll get 30-day free subscription + 50% off for the next 6 months.
[2] VPS/SERVER in or close to the country where you promote offers. I use digitalocean.com and have droplets on 2 continents at the moment. It make massive difference in page load speed! DO requires some very basic programming skills, but they've got great helpdesk and customer support!
[3] ENABLE KEEP-ALIVE AND GZIP on your server. Make sure you have these 2 options enabled, super important for the load speed. Useful links: varvy.com/pagespeed, varvy.com/pagespeed/keep-alive.html, varvy.com/pagespeed/enable-compression.html
KEEP-ALIVE makes a visitor's browser load all the files at once with just 1 request to the server. Without this option the browser sends request to the server separately for each file, which makes the load time significantly longer;
GZIP is a method of compressing files (making them smaller), so there's much less to download by visitor's browser, sometimes up to 2 times less, which logically makes the load time up to 2 times faster!
Both methods are usually enabled by default on modern servers, however, sometimes there could be a problem (they can be turned off or not working correctly) after you install some additional stuff on your server (I experienced that problem on my Digitalocean.com server and spent whole day to fix it), so better check if you have both options enabled.
[4] CDN (Content Delivery Network). If you use CDN you don't need a server in the country you promote your offers as the content is distributed across all the CDN data centers.
TIP: Turn on 'Argo' function in CloudFlare to reduce latency and make the page load even faster.
ADVANCED TIP #1: I know many affiliates use Magicchecker.com. In this scenario simply host your index.html page directly on your server and and keep everything else on CDN (images, js scripts, css stylesheets, fonts etc.) and just link to it from your index.html. Yes, you can do that, I verified this with guys from Magicchecker.com! Now: if you do that, remember to include these two lines after <head> tag to improve load speed:
HTML:
<link rel="dns-prefetch" href="http://yourcdndomain.com">
<base href="http://yourcdndomain.com/">
First line tells your browser to connect to the different host in spare time while loading the page.
Second line adds the specified url before each link, so you don't need to include it each time you place image,js,css etc. E.g.: for <img src="image.jpg"> your browser will request/download http://yourcdndomain.com/image.jpg
ADVANCED TIP #2: If you use cloaker like Magicchecker.com and don't want to play with all this to make your landing pages load super fast, use Trafficarmor.com. With Trafficarmor.com you can host ALL your files on CDN (guys from MC actually encourage you to do that) to make it easier, especially for affiliates that are less tech-savvy.
2B. Landing page speed. I've done tons of tests to make LPs load in less than 3 seconds and in some scenarios even closer to 2 seconds! (I'm talking about regular 3G connection, that's even quarter of a second on cable connection). I don't want to share this with everybody as those tests cost me few hundred $$$. I plan to release a product/course where I will show all the tech tips and tricks. Why should you listen to me about the tech stuff? Well, I'm a web developer and PHP programmer with 10 years of experience. I know all the ins and outs about building websites optimized for speed, worked on huge international project dedicated for navigators on commercial ships, done dozens of websites and internet apps, built my own product in past that helped bloggers to monetize their blogs (this brought me $23K in under 2 months and helped over 1000 of bloggers to earn money from their blogs). But anyway, the product I plan to create is just a plan for now and may be released at the end of this year most probably.

OTHER STUFF
[1] GETURLPARAMETER FUNCTION IMPROVED: I described the improved function once in Update #8 and made it handle "no value" requests, more info in Update #8. Now I've wrapped the improved function in unescape() and here's why: original function displays for example "Galaxy S8%2B" instead of "Galaxy S8+", because some special characters are usually encoded in url. unescape() solves this problem and displays all the special characters like "+" correctly by decoding them from url. Here's the new version of this function:
HTML:
function getURLParameter(parameter){return unescape(decodeURI((RegExp('[\?&]'+parameter+'=([^&#]*)').exec(location.search)||[,null])[1]||''));}
[2] DON'T USE GOOGLE LIBRARIES: This means don't use jquery hosted on Google servers, don't use "speak()" function as then on the page visit there's a request sent to Google. Reason? "Google Safe Browsing": if your domain is marked by Google as dangerous, your visitors will see whole screen in red and "Deceptive site ahead" info instead of your actual page. Not cool. It happened to me. I'm not 100% sure it's about including Google scripts on your page, but I can say from experience that NOT including it helps.

SUMMARY + WHAT'S NEXT
So, generally I created whole new better plan, spent a lot of time to make the whole funnel as fast as possible and tested dozens of landing pages to find those with the highest CTR. I also migrated from Voluum to Thrive and learnt all the in and outs in the new tracker. Additionally I played with cloakers like Magicchecker.com and Trafficarmor.com to hide my LPs from spy tools like Adplexity.com and I had about 20% bleed rate usually (I think it's pretty much standard, isnt' it?).
I became a bit obsessed with technical things as @medvih noticed, lol :D But that's enough. Now all I need is to find an offer that actually works. Again, please let me know if it makes sense to promote these sweepstakes SOI offers, because I'm little bit confused

Thanks for the update in your journey.

Its disappointing to hear that about sweepstake offers. I'm promoting sweepstakes on Propellerads with push notifications. If the visitor has to jump through loads of hoops and then confirm their email then it seems like an uphill struggle to get any success with them.

Also, something confusing I've noticed. On MaxBounty, the network EPC for many of the sweepstakes offers is $0.35 and they are for offers called OfferX. What are the chances that the EPC is $0.35 for all those offers? Is it a bug or something or are they accurate EPC stats?

Do you recommend giving up on sweepstakes?

I've already deposited $200 into Propellerads so I'm eager to find something that is profitable so I don't want to waste the $200.

Thanks @CaramelRocks. I would wait for someone smarter and more experienced than me to answer your and my questions. I don't want to give up on sweepstakes offers as I know all the ins and outs about them, got LPs with very high CTR and know pretty much everything about them, additionally I spent few thousand $ for all that. I hope someone will respond to my post and say something like "Yes, sweepstakes work!", but we'll wait and see ;) Meanwhile I'll try to find a profitable offer.

Regarding the high EPC and CR for the sweepstakes offers: I subscribed to new aff network and my new AM said those high numbers are from Facebook, not mobile. In other words: if you see so high EPC and CR, it means that the offer is being promoted on Facebook and will not necessarily work on mobile.

I just wanna say: I'd like to share as much as I can with you guys. I want to contribute as much as I can here and I'll answer all the tech questions the best I can. I'm your tech guy here, tested everything possible and my programming skills helped me with all that. If you want to know more, just let me know! :) You want instruction for DigitalOcean, CloudFlare? Let me know. Cheers!

Guys, this might be irrelevant but I am trying to open a thread in journeys' section but I am unable to. It says I do not have the permission. Do you know why it might be happening?
