Would you choose to use iMessage for marketing?

I think iMessage has more advantages than SMS marketing, such as limited content, character count, ease of sending, and ease of use. However, I also think SMS's advantages lie in its wider user base and editable subject lines. Can you explain this to me?

Hey @Tay - iMessage is user-friendly, allows rich content (like images, videos, clickable links), and doesn’t have the same strict character limits as SMS. It’s also integrated seamlessly on Apple devices, making it feel more natural and engaging for iPhone users.

However, iMessage is only available on iOS. SMS, on the other hand, works on every phone — smart or basic — which makes it much more universal. It might feel more limited (short text, no rich media), but it has benefits like editable sender names in some countries and higher delivery consistency across all devices.

So in short:
iMessage = better experience, limited reach
SMS = wider reach, simpler format, reliable delivery

If you're running campaigns and want to get the best of both — rich user engagement and broad delivery — dm me in private. We let you target both iOS and Android users through push and pop formats with full control over GEOs, bids, and devices. if you want to scale campaigns with precision and performance, i can hook you up.

iMessage is convenient: unlimited characters, media support, works like a chat but only for Apple users.
SMS is simpler and reaches everyone even basic phones, works without internet, and supports bulk messaging.
So, iMessage is for convenience, SMS is for reach

Everyone’s made good points. Targeting iOS users is a big plus if they match your customer profile. They’re often more engaged and have higher spending power, so it can work in your favor.
