Would you choose to use iMessage for marketing?

I think iMessage has more advantages than SMS marketing, such as limited content, character count, ease of sending, and ease of use. However, I also think SMS's advantages lie in its wider user base and editable subject lines. Can you explain this to me?

They have really ramped this up recently on my Verizon service. Coupled with my other filters, I rarely get anything ad, or promotion, related.
