Is there anyone who has experience with the email markting system from Bob?
1500€ for system setup and a list with 10.000 emailleads and then 300$ monthly.
How realistic is this system?
Thank you

I don't have any experience at all with these gurus with their courses, but generally being sceptic and stoic will make you not sign up for courses like these- for good reasons...

If you feel comfortable losing that amount of money, sure go for it - maybe it'll turn out great, but don't expect any miracles.

Agree -but you need to have a serious mailing list (like 1million+) -to have any real effect.

I think that's part of the deal. Bob gives you a list of 10,000 or something like that, plus another 3,000 per month. I imagine you can buy/rent more but that's only supposition on my part, I don't it as a fact.

You don't need a million leads to make serious coin emailing. I regularly beat people in affiliate contests against lists orders of magnitude larger with marketing campaigns started from scratch.

Yes -but starting with 10000 -with an open rate of less than 1% -and thats just open rate. Unless the emails are targeted you have a seriously small chance.

1%? That's satisfactory? I have click rate averages of 40% and higher over the course of some of my campaigns. I segment my leads before they even see an opt-in. They get the specific email at the right time based on their behavior. A 19 year old woman from Little Rock, Arkansas is going to get a series of vastly different emails than a 39 year old man from London, England on my list. I don't practice "spray and pray". I'm a sniper. One shot. One kill.

Open rate is a poor metric to go by. Most mailing applications don't take in account the following:
  • images disabled in the client
  • incorrect cache headers on image (i.e. cached image delivered and not counted)
  • improper counting/detection of multiple opens
  • incorrectly recording open when client software previews email without contacts actually opening email
  • an open doesn't tell if a contact read the first sentence, the first paragraph or the email in it's entirety
  • the contact accepts text only emails
The most important metric to me is CTC (Click To Conversion), because in reality, money is what really matters. I have images disabled.

Basically, the $1500 is for training and the $300 is for monthly access to his mail system. You get 10K records and additional 3000 per month.

I can tell you right now, that even if the data is fresh and targeted, you will need more than that, to make real money!

What I don't like about the $300 per moth for his mail system is that it allows you to send purchased data. Any system that allows you to send purchased data is probably going to be on dedicated IPs and you will not get great inboxing.

If you have real fresh / targeted data you want to use autoresponders to send. That way you are on shared IP and the IP reputation is based on all users. So you should get decent delivery.

If you are on dedicated IPs, there will be domains that will be difficult to mail. So you want to domain target your data and send only to the domains that you should get reasonably good deliverability. However, when you do this, you need to send much higher volume than when sending targeted data. You also need a lot of IPs, so you can push the higher volume. To do this, you will spend way more than $300 per month.

In both cases above (sending vertical targeted data with autoresponders and domain targeted with dedicated IPs), it's not about the data you initially acquire. You want to collect the opens / clickers and also segment them based on the offers. Along with pruning the non responsive users. That way overtime, you build a smaller list, that is very responsive and you will send less and make more, with each mailing.

I wouldn't waste my time on email / zip submit offers, they usually don't perform well. I never mail them anymore. The 100 lenders is a payday loan offer, along with the skin care free trial, may or may not work, depending on the data.

Knowing what I know, from mailing purchased data for over 16 year. I have my doubts that it's going to pan out for people. The biggest problem I have is the mailing system, because if it doesn't get good deliverability and all the training was based on using it, what do you do then? However, I don't know what the training really covers. In general, $1500 is cheap for training...if it is good and up to date.

Anyway, that's my 2 cents.
