New Affiliate Manager - How to motivate Affiliates

I am new to the affiliate management position and wanted to see if you have any helpful tips to motivate affiliates to 1. Join 2. Promote our website.

We are in the education space, specifically in live, 1-on-1 language lessons (unsure if I should be brand dropping here, don't want this to be for promotion)

What are some tips/help for publishing?

Hey,
First of all, you should have your Affiliate program clearly defined: Registration, rules, benefits for your affiliates, clear commissions order, FAQ, Terms & Conditions, etc.
Ensure your tracking systems are working properly.
Be honest, reliable and always AVAILABLE for a quick chat or call;
Decide on what competitive advantages of your program are and spread the word about them to your target affiliate (yes, you should consider about that too);
Give insights and advises for your affiliate on how he can improve;
Don't forget to follow up with an e-mail any achievement or change (ex. approved/declined sale, etc.) so the affiliate clearly knows what is going on.

Keep in touch with affiliate, and report any achievements even though they do not reply for you.

But it is really difficult to get in touch with the.affiliates. Most of them are zombies. They joined the program and forget it immediately.

So important! There's nothing more frustrating than needing to ask a quick question before launching a campaign, or needing some other kind of help and having to wait two days for an answer.
