Birthday Emails

I just started including Birthday emails to my subscribers a few months ago and actually have increased my open rate a bit. Anyone else here using them and have some good experience with them?

Haven't tested yet. But will do in upcoming valentine's day.

I haven't actually emailed subscribers whenever they have birthdays. But I think it's a nice personalised touch that subscribers won't mind receiving. I remember one forum owner greeted me personally when I had my birthday last year. That really made me feel special and welcome to her forum. I actually still go to that forum even though it's mostly dead now because of her gesture. I try to initiate conversations and such things. Little things can go a long way!

I have not tried this yet, but I think it is a good marketing strategy. Anything that is personalized has positive result in traffic and sales.

Never tried it, but it is always nice to get one on your birthday. Sometimes it'll be a site I forgot I'm on and make me go back to it a bit. Wouldn't hurt!
