Has anyone tried Miva MC?
I'm trying it out on a few of my pages and it seems to be quite good. Seem to be making more than I do with Adsense. They have fewer advertisers but their targeting is good.
Forget PR. Bring on SERPs! Show me the money!!! Unless of course you're trying to sell your site - that may be different. I've seen a lot of buyers who are obsessed with PR and base their valuation on that.
It is very automatic to say I'll Google it - but while the phrase may continue to be used, the association may change. People still use hoovering for vacuuming even if they use a vacuum cleaner that isn't a Hoover.
You must analyze and try to improve your ads and understand the psychology or your clicks just won't convert. It's easy to lure in a lot of people who aren't that interested or were misled. It's hard to create highly targeted ads with high conversion rates.
I've seen a few vouchers around the place too. With purchase of a Domain Name comes to mind. I think Adwords is an excellent tool if you put in the time to analyze the data. I lost quite a bit when I first started using it - and I was a tight-arse, not wanting to spend anything on advertising so...
I keep reading articles of webmasters saying their revenues keep dropping. Seems as though a lot of people are looking for alternatives. There are quite a few PPC companies around now though which is good news - there are options.
I do live in the UK, yes. London actually.
I don't really have anything I'd like to show off at the moment - everything's a constant work in progress ;)

Attention: "role based name" email prefixes such as support, webmaster, info, contact, forum, service, affiliate, admin, traffic, partners, marketing, etc., for our member accounts are not permitted. They are acceptable for a vendor listing, but not for the member email. This is due to bulk email processors scrubbing them for delivery due to extremely high bounce rates. If we discover you signed up with a role based name we will give you only one message to change it. After 3 days your account will be removed if the email is not changed.
