For average image editing there is nothing better Paint.NET. It's more than you need for sure. Unlike gimp and photoshop it fast to load. Leave gimp and photoshop for professional photo editing. To create ads you don't need it.

For quick edits and social media graphics, I still use Canva and sometimes Photopea/Photoshop as well. Recently I've also been experimenting with AI image generators that can save a lot of time when I need unique visuals.
