Hi everyone,

My name is Arvind, and I'm new to the forum. I manage an e-commerce affiliate program and my main goal here is to learn from the community.

To start, I'm curious: What is the single biggest challenge you face as an affiliate marketer today? Is it finding good offers, generating traffic, technical issues?

Looking forward to hearing your insights. Thanks!

What is the single biggest challenge you face as an affiliate marketer today?

Have you taken the time to read through any of our sub-forums? This question has been asked many times every year since we opened in 2006.

There is no single issue, there are ever changing platforms, rules, and environments for what we do. As an affiliate manager, I expect you have never run into a single issue that affiliates have expressed. It's always the challenges of meeting expectations. The vast number of affiliates don't really know their obstacles because they insist on using shortcuts and trying to cheat the systems to make a buck. They never last long in this industry. It's only the true affiliates that learn to treat this as a business and properly structure their efforts as such. Those affiliates, maybe 10%, that learn and know how to overcome challenges that go on to have sustained success and scale their businesses.

The biggest obstacles and challenges for new affiliates is committing to daily regimens of researching, learning, investing, implementing, and collaborating. They will never tell anyone this, they try to work around it. This is why most affiliates fail, they can't acknowledge what their challenges are because they don't take the time to learn what they are.

welcome Arvind - for many affiliates I speak with, the real bottleneck isn’t just “finding” offers—it’s getting the right kind of traffic at the right price, with enough targeting control to actually hit ROI. That’s where a lot of campaigns fall apart. at ActiveRevenue, we help affiliates fix that gap by giving them a self-serve DSP with CPC/CPM buying, granular targeting, and real-time bid control, so they can test, scale, and optimize without waiting on a network middleman. If traffic is on your radar as a challenge, dm me in private and we'll talk

For me personally, the biggest challenge is generating quality traffic. Affiliate offers are easy to find, but finding people who actually convert is always tough. Plus, the technical headaches with tracking sometimes throw me off balance.

Yes i know, This is a question that’s been asked since the early days of affiliate marketing, but rarely gets a clear answer. I wanted to help clear up the confusion. I’m an Affiliate Marketing Manager for a US-based brand ojcommerce, and I’m here to have thoughtful conversations with people interested in starting affiliate marketing—especially about how tracking works, how sales are recorded, and how commission IDs are assigned.

If you’re interested in the home décor niche, I’d love to connect. I’m also new to Affiliate Fix, so I’m still getting used to the navigation here.
