How to set up cdn plus dns?

I'm having trouble setting up my dns and cdn. Here's what I did for details hope you guys can help out:

1) Bought domain from namecheap
2) Change the dns to clouflare dns since they are the fastest dns
3) Added cnames to point to the rackspace container urls
4) Tested it and the dns doesn't resolve

I had to pause all my camps because of this.. What am I doing wrong?

I tested just using rackspace and namecheap dns and it works, but I want a faster setup of course.

Can you elaborate on what you're doing here?

Do you mean like Step 4 describes in the following Tutorial?
Configuring Your Domain to Use Cloudflare - Knowledge Base

So, did you use the CloudFlare interface to do that or did you attempt to add the CNAME records manually?

- I set up a container in rackspace
- bought domains on namecheap, waited for them to propagate
- added the domains to cloudflare (just follow instructions from cloudflare
- create CNAME records in cloudflare and point them to the rackspace container.

Doesn't sound to me like you're doing anything wrong. If your DNS resolves when you point it to anything other than CloudFlare, then after you make sure your settings in CloudFlare are correct, it's probably worth-while to ping them about it and let them know it works everywhere but there.

If your web host offers managed support, they might be able to help as well, but that's kind of a long shot with most providers.

If I use cloudflare, can I use any host ? Like GoDaddy ?

I know it can be done, but what about the performance since go daddy is a shared host?

Yep. You can use CloudFlare with any host, but: Insider Tip: some hosts can offer some benefits if you sign up under them. For example, Railgun support on Free CloudFlare accounts.
