Has anyone else noticed the link redirect is slower in V3 when compared to V2.18? Around 50-80ms difference.

I used Pingdom to do the benchmark.

i hate version 3
they made it responsive and all that Shit i gess that's what makes it slow
when it comes to redirect i Don't think so

Try it on Pingdom. From what I see, there's some extra wait time in the baseredirect.php file

The difference is minor but still if you are doing over 100k clicks per day it will make a difference in conversion rate

Is it PHP7 compatible?

Since CPVLab is installed on his server, the server would need to be updated to PHP7. I left mine on 5.6 and planned the upgrade for this fall because of backwards compatibility issues with some scripts I run. If he has had the server for a while, maybe check and see what version is installed.

The latest version of CPVLab is good on 5.3 or greater according to their FAQ's.
  • CPV Lab's installation requirements are:
  • Linux Server, VPS or Dedicated Hosting,
  • PHP 5.3 or Above, MySQL 5.1 or Above, Minimum 100 MB of disk space
  • IonCube Loader installed on the server.
I have run CPVLab with no issues on PHP 5.6.
