Throw good money after bad ? IDK, maybe something may come out of it.

The best defense is DD (Due Diligence) before you start
--is the other party substantial and are they creditworthy
--you are extending them credit for your service
--that is the way I look at it and unfortunately may do not make the cut.

Often, I never even start. It's very difficult to access payment risk over the internet when you contract with a distant party.
