Has your company upgraded to Vista?

We have Vista on one of the computers, but the rest are still on XP Pro. Personally, I'm waiting for as long as possible before switching to Vista. Which is ironic, as when I was on 98, I waited as long as possible before switching to XP :)

How much should I charge for advertising?...

Simple answer:- However much you can get for it :) I will suggest / recommend you're banner ad isn't exactly standard. 599 x 95 is a bit of an odd size. Have you thought about splitting it up? You can fit 5 120 x 90 buttons on the same area. The simple answer is that it does vary your income...

Need pricings for a PHP/XML job

Basically, I need a PHP programmer with experience in working with XML feeds for a small job. I need a PHP script that can obtain certain data from an XML feed, and HTML-ise that data to something pretty :) Can't explain too more of it, PM me for details.

    cpanel dumping

Hi :) I'm transferring a website to a friend of mine, and he's asked me to carry out a "cpanel dump". I'm not entirely sure how to do this in cpanel/WHM, and a bit confused what he's asked for (and I'm too proud to ask him!). I've tried looking through the cpanel manual, but can't find...

    Banner Advertising charging

I'm sure it's doable, it's all about return on investment. If you buy banner ad space for $30,000, but you make $60,000, wouldn't you do it?

    Paying for Posts?

Yes, that what I do, plus you get a better deal. I had one that was on $20 a month, and was well worth it, he wrote me 80 posts, but it was over a period of the month. That was the most important :)

Free hosting is it really good?

No. Quite simply. For the price of $5 a month, you can have a safe, reliable web host. Hell, you'd get it for a lot less probably :)

    Paying for Posts?

It's an interesting one. My reckoning is that most huge forums have a few elements of paid postings on them. My advice would be if you are to go down this route, offer trial cheap memberships, and make things very clear from the outset (you want english speaking, and with some knowledge on the...

    kabonfootprint contest cancelled

Hear hear Bagi. I don't post here much, but morons like the above will not be missed in the slightest. Try running REAL operations, and attitudes like that will last at best 10 minutes.

    kabonfootprint contest cancelled

Gah why are you all blaming Temi/UKWW for this? Fact is somebody pulled out and made the contest unworkable? Would you like it if UKWW said "congratulations on winning, here's your prize: SWEET FA"?!?!? Fact is, things do happen, UKWW ran this contest with little or less direct financial reward...

Why UKWW is using nofollow tag for signatures?

Personally, I think it's very shortsighted of individuals thinking all the time "SEO BENEFIT!" for links. Yes, SEO is important and link building is important, but it's not the be-all and end all. I put links in my sigs, sure, be silly not to, I do post in forums with the aim of getting a...

How 'automatic' is the automatic upgrade plug-in for Wordpress?

This is the latest version WordPress Automatic Upgrade plugin update It's very useful, it's not totally automatic, you still have to activate and click through a few screens, but it is very very useful. One piece of advice would be to do a dump of your server every week or so of all your...

    Links from lower PR sites

I'm not sure, a link is a link is a link. There's a bunch of factors and I really cannot see it reducing your Green Bar of Self Important Worth ;). Generally strong relevant links are the way forward in my eyes, and the Green Bar of Self Important Worth will soon follow ;)

Use the sitemap generator, and expand the ping list for the blog to...
