YouTube vs Twitter vs Facebook

I prefer Youtube solely because you can produce videos, and add description. Your video can include material that will interest the reader, and if they like your video, they will check out your description. From there, you can most likely advertise your website or product shown in the video. If they are not interested, just note that you got one view. That one view can generate a click, and if you're partnered, you can earn some money off of those viewers. There is more earning potential on Youtube than there is on Facebook or Twitter.

Having only used Twitter, and Facebook, I much prefer Facebook. You can targeted very specific people with Facebook, and people seem to socialize more on there.

I am wanting soon to get involved with video marketing, with YouTube. People are driving massive traffic to their websites, through videos alone.

I think you picked the wrong ones there. YouTube is a video streaming website and Twitter and Facebook are social networks, so I can't really compare the three of them. But between Facebook and Twitter, I definitely choose Facebook.

Every Social Media website you stated acts differently one from another.

Facebook is a Social Network where you go online to chat with your friends, play an online game or visit a page of your favorite musician.

Twitter is also a Social Network but it is mostly used for short-messages that reminds you of text-messages written from your cellphone. People that have a Twitter are more likely to use it as their text messaging platform. Moreover, they use Twitter to outreach faster and easier their fans or something similar.

YouTube is not strictly a Social Network but also something between the Entertainment part of it. People go on YouTube to have fun and listen to music or watch videos because this is all what YouTube is about. It is about the Entertainment aspect of a Social Network.

I'm leaning more towards Facebook rather than Youtube. Yes, you could definitely get more viewers and potential customers/people; but if you don't have a good viewer base, you could never get known. If you get all of your friends to follow you on Facebook, (when the average person has 50-200 friends) you could easily become known on Facebook and potentially gain more followers. With twitter, you have limited words and less people. There is almost a billion more people on Facebook rather than Twitter.

Thanks,
StormHF

I think Youtube can give you the best traffic out of these three.

You will not get much traffic from Twitter, unless you have a lot of followers.

I prefer YouTube! YouTube is a very active community, word can get around fast when you upload a video, and you can get many views which is especially good for people who want to promote their website etc. Also if you do well enough on YouTube you can get money, which is nice.

Facebook is the most powerful in my opinion. Especially considering the fact that it now uses hashtags. This means that you can gain publicity that way. Youtube is probably the weakest, because both Twitter and Facebook can embed youtube videos, making youtube pointless. The only way youtube has success is when people post links to their FB and Twitter in their description but I never click on them.

When it comes to marketing, I would say that I prefer YouTube or Facebook. I like that Facebook has a, "Pages" section where you can promote your product freely without many restrictions. It's also pretty easy to obtain a hefty fan base. YouTube is good if you want to give customer's a preview of your product, blog, etc. I think it generates more of an interest for them to find out more.

I don't think Youtube belongs in the category, but I prefer Facebook over Twitter. Facebook has a more social interaction feel to it rather that Twitter. However, in terms of making money--Twitter and Youtube would definitely be a better bet over Facebook and its advertising.

Well I would say that YouTube would be the best site from a business point of view as it is a lot more easier to try and get your video or product out to a wider niche of people. However, if you are using a social network site for the sole purpose of just socialising with friends then I would say that Facebook is the best as it has enhanced security measures to make sure that only your Friends can see what you write!

I prefer Facebook because it has best suited my needs so far although I can see some potential in Twitter as well. However, that might be due to the fact that I just wasn't in a position to promote a video or to use a video for any kind of promotion so far but if I ever do, I sure will give it a try since so many of you here seem to recommend it.

I would use Twitter and think that its the best cause every time I promote articles on there I get tons of views from them but I couldn't promote on FB because they keep deleting my account and say that I'm promoting way too much. I could never get a page view from FB so I don't use it as social network. I think I like the simple way Twitter is. I think its fast, cool, and convenient. I love Twitter. I also love youtube for all of their videos collection. The world will change because of those videos collection.

I think it matters which form of communication and marketing you want to convey, but I feel strongly that everyone benefits from YouTube. People respond and like compelling visuals more than any picture or wall of text. Traffic from retention and repetition from youtube is much more natural and people will watch and re-watch something they like.

No matter which Social Network you choose, none will do well if you do not have a large fan base. I think having both a youtube channel and a facebook page is the best combination because you can post updates on your facebook easily. People love watching videos so youtube is great for referring people to your site or whatever. Twitter is starting to die in my opinion. People are leaning more towards instagram which is similar.

Much as I prefer Facebook for general social networking and connecting with friends, when it comes to SEO, I think Twitter is far better. Unless you've got a private profile, your tweets are more visible and therefore attract more attention. I usually use Twitter for publicising posts I've just written on my blog or Bubblews. I wouldn't want to spam my Facebook with things like that, as I like to keep my Facebook as personal and private as possible.

All three are good, the result, I think depends on the kind of following you have. Facebook is the best place to start, to launch your product, and then slowly moving onto Youtube and Twitter. Youtube will get you a larger audience though, in that sense I'd say it's the most efficient.

i feel like youtube shouldn't be compared to twitter and facebook. Youtube us more for profiles that want to post videos and that's it. Twitter is more like a marketing social media for me or a trending forum. Facebook is probably the best still because you can do everything from facebook. The CIA has saved a lot of money searching for people due to Facebook
