I'm new to affiliate marketing and struggling to choose a profitable niche. I know profitability is key, but how can I actually measure it? With so many options, how do I avoid picking a niche that looks good but doesn't convert? What specific tools do experienced marketers use to assess a niche's earning potential before they commit to it?

Some affiliate networks share average conversion ratios and EPC data. Those figures are useful but only as broad indicators—the median can differ depending on traffic quality and individual conversions. The old 80/20 rule still applies: about 20% of affiliates drive most results. Success often depends on how well you can attract and funnel the right traffic toward proven offers. Reputable networks drop offers that don’t perform since poor results hurt their credibility. New offers might get a trial run, but if they don’t convert after enough referrals, they’re pulled. Not every offer—or niche—is created equal, and that’s how you measure real earning potential.
