Started using pro version of Neil Patel's Ubersuggest SEO software yesterday
$500 is no small investment for software
Was it worth the money?

This thread will be about my experience with Ubersuggest
Will try to add screenshots where possible

You can sign up for the free version and try out most of these SEO ranking techniques
I have been using the free version on-off for past year

Good @Aiden L, it was your question yesterday that inspired this thread !!
Do you now own it forever or for like 6 months? Some spy tools cost $250 a month so this sounds like a great deal to me. Not that my opinion matters lol.
So I have a 50-year subscription for $500

Ubersuggest is very easy to use and does what I primarily need
--> reliably track keyword rankings

There are other SEO keyword tracking tools, don't agree other tools are "better" because many of them are are so detailed and complicated that you have to take a course just to understand the menu - SEO doesn't require laboratory conditions, it's about consistently producing quality optimized content

Anything that benefits your business is worth it imo.
It's difficult to make a direct link between ranking and ranking software, because so many changing factors are in play
Will need to work out a formula to calculate this
Easy one but cash in the bank would be a good start !!!

I'm not an SEO guy (never got to it...)
So this might be an extremely interesting thread... (or: be prepared to get some noob questions)
Also if you discuss what the tool brings you, state what you get with the free versions and how the paid one delivers more!
(just so we can understand the limitations of the free tool which has seemed to work well for you until now)

That's a good idea @GriD
However the Ubersuggest pricing page doesn't list the free version (that's odd, I thought)
But can understand, it being a marketing trick --> only give them buttons you want to get clicked !!
See you can learn something just by looking at his pricing page !!

Gonna have a good ole lazy poke around the pro version today

Update

Finished my initial poking around with Ubersuggest
  1. Set up 4 new keyword tracking campaigns (got 3 campaigns left)
  2. Maxed out the 4 campaigns, now tracking 150 keywords each (600 total)
  3. 1st full keyword ranking results expected Monday around 11am Eastern Time
Spent quite some time looking for the training area
They need to make it alot more obvious, was an obscure footer link
There's alot of videos --> www.neilpatel.com/training
It's not just Ubersuggest training, but alot about how to get traffic from SEO

I'll need to prioritize tutorials in my 8am to 9am weekday software learning hour

so you can't track more than 150 per campaign?
There are 3 levels
  1. $29/mo -->100/pp (that's about right)
  2. $49/mo -->150/pp (should be 250 imo)
  3. $99/mo -->200/pp (should be 500 imo)
But TBH I don't really need to track more than 150 keywords
Because after 100 the volume gets to like 10 or 20 searches/mo
This is a waste of valuable project time

I wonder how many hours he spent making videos

I imagine for each 10 minute video it took 20 hours of learning and 2 hours production
Wild guess, good question to ask on his channel

Wow, that's a ton of impressive information!
History of Content Marketing
I remember when it was called Bum Marketing. Yes, I'm that old. :D

Thanks for posting these. I haven't watched any of the videos yet but I'm really interested in the content audit and on-page optimization for some old articles. I've audited them myself a long time ago, when things changed with G at one point but I'd love to see what Neil recommends we do, so I can improve.

Would you say, as some kind of conclusion, that this tool has fulfilled your expectations? I see that you learned a lot in the past couple of months and from the names of the lectures I would say that they are pretty useful and give you knowledge about some valuable skills when it comes to SEO and optimization in general. I used this tool couple of times for my keywords research, but I only used trial until now, as that was enough for me at the moment, and I was pretty satisfied with the insights it gave me. I am currently using some other paid tools for SEO and analyses, so I am really interested in finding out if there are some better solutions out there, especially Ubersuggest as it is on my list for a long time.

Would I have paid $500 beforehand? No
Is it worth $500? Yes
by that I mean if you offered me $ 500 or Ubersuggest
I would happily take Ubersuggest
its made a huge difference to my affiliate campaigns
My lifetime subscription was won in a competition
right here on Affiliate Fix
a gift from @T J Tutor
and the Affiliate Fix team
Have I used the tool daily? Yes and it is addictive
Have I completed the course? No because I got lazy
Could I get more out of the tool? You bet its dope
What is the tool best used for?
Type any website address
and get an insider traffic and keywords report
very good for studying competitors
also good for researching products
What are the negatives? Mobile view is lacking
plus there is no app in Google Apps
Overall I like the desktop functionality
the software is extremely reliable
never seems to crash or break or glitch out
good investment of my time
happy to recommend Ubersuggest
if you want a discount try a polite email
Free is good
pro is same as free but unlimited
and if you are a pro
you need pro software

Who wants to make a keyword tool site and has experience to a plan to monetize it?

See what you made me do LOL
