Shopify and Voluum

Hi Guys,

I am planning to promote a Shopify Shop via Instagram. I would like to use voluum to track the campaigns (special trackers for certain accounts). I'm looking for a tutorial on this, but did not find anything on Google. Does anyone have a tip for me?
I'm currently learning Voluum, so I need some support...

why don't u use google analytics that's what you need.

Because then I do not track which traffic source brings the best ROI. We will also work with (micro)-influencers. This is an investment whose ROI interests us.
I know that I can map that with Google Analytics UTM parameters. In my opinion, it is only more complicated because we want to generate traffic from many different sources.

Tracking your sales can be done easily with Voluum as your tracker.

Firstly, you'll use modified Voluum conversion tracking pixel. It should be placed in Shopify’s order status page (aka 'thank you page'). It works by passing Voluum click ID via a cookie stored on user's computer.

It'll allow you to track both conversions and:
- order ID - to make sure that in Voluum, the conversion is registered only once per each order
- order value - the exact amount the visitor spent for an order.

Example HTML to insert on your store's order status page:

Here, the pixel consists of your tracking pixel URL. Order value is passed as payout to Voluum. Order ID is passed as transaction ID (txid).

How to set it up:
Get the pixel from the example and change the dedicated domain to domain from your tracking pixel. It can be found in Tracking URLs tab in your account's settings.
Place the modified pixel in 'Additional Scripts' in your admin panel at Shopify.

Note: Shopify requires using only 'https' pixel version so you need to make sure your Voluum tracking domain has active SSL cert. It also means that your campaign URL and click URL used with Shopify should be with https.

Voluum support will help you set this up on your shopify store.
