Anyone interested in helping each other out by backlinking to each other’s sites? Must be in the health and wellness niche. Just created a new site and need help boosting SEO.

Be cautious about how you do this. Drip your links in and out, otherwise the big G algo may flag you. As long as they are of equal value or better, and you drip feed the links in and out, you should be okay!

What do you mean by drip feed?

Drip feed simply means slow and steady and not everything fast or at once. Google looks for this. Googles algo watches for link exchange properties like relevance, frequency, and many other attributes. They do appreciate them and reward you in your rankings for them when they are relevant to your site and associated with relevant information. However, if you simply exchange links with another site for nothing other than exchanging links and you do this often with sites so as not to appear natural and relevant, then Google will penalize you.

Trading links is a great way to build high quality traffic IF YOU KNOW how to do it. Its not hard, but its not as simple as simply finding others in your niche and swapping links. It has to be done properly.

First, cut google out of the equation. Don't build search rankings this way, it will eventually backfire and practically, its just not a good way to do it. So, make it clear to people you want to trade links with that those links will be nofollow links.

Next, you want to filter down your link trades to something much smaller than 'health and wellness'. Whereas for finding partners is great, for making the trade not so much. You want to find niches that can benefit what your content leaves out.

For example, say you find someone with a blog all about the benefits of coconut milk, that would be a great trade. You need to offer them a high profile link. For example if you have a blog, you could put at the bottom of your articles a link back saying "learn about the miracles of coconut oil". In return, you would want to get high profile links coming back to you and you should figure out exactly how to word them and what images to use to get people interested in your site.

When you do that, your SEO matters a whole lot less because your targeting audience becomes a whole lot higher quality.
