It's not breaking any of their terms. Google is not just accepting direct advertisers. Direct linking is not easy, but sending traffic to a regular website promoting other products is just normal.

It's borderline. If it is providing regularly updated and fresh content, as well as acquiring high traffic, then it's going to be fine.
