how to link several websites in same niche

Hi,
How is best to link several websites in same niche?
Example:
If i have 5 games related websites, what do i do?
First, do i want to link this websites to each other?
I'm not sure about this, but if i own websites in same niche is always good to have them connected in some network, its my opinion, does someone have other opinion?

Ok, if answer is yes, that we want to connect them to each other, how do we do it?
If i link every website with other 4 websites then i will have on each website 4 links, and im not sure that this is best way?
I was thinking of making a link wheel of them:
like: 1-2-3-4-5-1
(first links to second, second to third, third to fourth...)

Please let me know which is better way to connect this websites, or is there maybe some other ways, i have hear of some cross linking, but not sure how to do that.

I think the link wheel strategy would work for your case. You could setup on center domain and point all other 4 domains to it. Then link between all other 4 domains.
