I received an email from Google this morning. I'd forgotten this was coming. They notified all Google Devs a couple of months ago it was coming after an abundance of debate on this.
It certainly increases transparency but I can see the other side of the coin, too. If you don't want your mom to know you're running adult toy ads, or something.
