CPM in Affiliate

In my opinion, while scaling your campaigns CPM gives you an edge because you pay a flat rate for the views to your ads irrespective of your CTR. It's true that you can lose a lot of money if your CTR is very low on CPM based campaigns but you can also achieve a lower cost per click (because of higher CTR on CPM campaigns) if your creatives/banners are very well designed.

In short, CPM works really well for long term. I usually start with CPC to test my banners' performance though.

I have experienced CPM model while I was working at one of globally known mobile advertising platforms which has their own SDK.
Brands were paying CPI and pubs were paid on CPM.
As SDKs are integrated with titles directly, their audiences are not shady like affiiliate networks.
Most DSPs are offering CPM bidding but they also have shady sources.

Hi @EkaterinaGorb If you're testing it for the first time, I would definitely advise working on CPC first. I've seen affiliates who try CPM for the first time and freakout with the volumes, and then never pick on it. so better to work your way from CPC to CPM.
I hope it helps, all the best !
