Could Pops Die or Thrive?

I didn't see this spoken about so thought i would mention it but has anyone else seen the recent update to Google Chrome coming soon?

Google Chrome will stop letting sites redirect you against your will in 2018 | TechRadar

Could this lower the amount of available traffic at the networks, could it drive up the CPM price or could it actually improve traffic quality by forcing sites to be less intrusive than they already are.

What do you guys think?

Surprised there has not been any talk on this.

After speaking with a couple of the popup networks i use lets just say they are very very worried. This means if you run pops as a way to make your living you may be getting a shock in the next few months.

Without the update we cant see the real impact but this update could effect a lot of network and the amount of traffic

"The third change will go into effect in January. Google is releasing a tool today called the Abusive Experiences Report that will let developers check to see whether their websites are compliant. If a site isn’t, its developers will have 30 days before Chrome will begin blocking the site from opening new tabs and windows"

Hopefully the networks can make a work around so have to play it by ear.

Surprised there has not been any talk on this? Every torrent/porn/etc' publisher and every pop network have been talking about it since April.
