Hi, I'm trying to achieve something but Im stuck..

I work daily with links that I have to copy and paste and I don't want to do this completely manually anymore because it takes a lot of time.

I want to achieve the following:

I have a list of hundreds of urls.

From here I want to copy 50 links for example and then paste these links in this format.

example 1

- URL 1 (The copied links will be paste here)
- URL 2
- URL 3
- URL 4

Example 2

-
-
-

I hope I explained it clearly, I hope somebody can help me with this

Hello,
I want to help but I didn't well understand your request.
Can you elaborate please?
Please let me know what you don't undesrtand. Here some more info.

This is the format i use in word and always is the same text:

example 1

- ###
- ###
- ###
- ###

The text above is always the same. But everyday i need to replace the '###' for URL. Right now i do this by copy from a other file, and paste it.

This takes a lot of time, since i work with a lot of links. My goal is to copy 50 links, and paste it in the file. So all '###' will be replaced with a unique URL.

Hope that makes any sense..

Use an interpreter language (like PHP) and a mapping array of your links.
Are we talking about a website here that you control?
That sounds good, but im not really familiar with PHP, do you think i can find a tutorial about this?

No it is not for a website.

I store a list of URLs in a excel file.

And i have a word/text file where i paste the links in.

Thanks for your help.

1. Yes, i update the list with links my self.
2. The sort order word the word file would be always the same.
3. Only the links from the Excel file are different everyday.
4. not sure how to do that, i can send you something in dm if you want?

the URL name is static (same)
PHP:
books,https ://today.com
schools,//etc
foods,//etc

like that?

If you use LINUX that can easily be done in a bash loop --in a .sh script

You are not asking the question right.
  1. the URL file is an update daily from some source?
  2. the sort order is the same every day?
  3. or you have to hunt and search/replace?
  4. can you identify what goes where with a key or variable?
relate the name and the URL
Is there even any programmable logic here?

Copy a list of URL's and paste them only on certain places
This looks like a easy solution. I think this will work!!

Now the only thing i need is to copy it to word file. So it will be just text.

Thanks so much!

NP
easier than learning programming for a small file
save as> in excel > .csv ;or as a .txt
don't use wordpad it's binary code
use a ANSI plain text format then anything will open the file
