Wordpress templates are a dime a dozen and most will do fine, it should be determined by your personal taste and a professional/not too distracting color scheme. Color is very important to a template, light backgrounds with borders for content and darker text are excellent choices.

I need some decent quality web site templates, either free or at a reasonable cost. I looket on the net, there is a large offer, but I am interested in personal suggestions.

Templatemonster.com or themeforest.net - you pay money but coupons are available.
For wp, joomla or other free cms ... also free templates are available. Just look for free templates + cms name on search engines.
