Beginners Traffic

@Androaffiliate, do yo have budget or time to invest? Or both?
-> Paid or free traffic?
But honestly I believe it is difficult to reply to this question as when you will do more research you will find that some traffic sources are good for some offers and almost useless to other offers... (at least this is how I feel this as a beginner)

So maybe tell us also what verticals you are considering?

Push traffic is good if you have a medium sized budget, depending on geos you can literally get penny clicks. That been said as @GriD stated it depends on what type of offers you are promoting and which vertical. Push is good for a week long campaign imo, its very difficult to scale past a certain point, I would use it if you want fast result and a small profit. Moving onto advanced traffic, I hate to say it but FB seems to be the top dog. It's very good for scaling a winning campaign and that's really where the big money is. I would stay away from Fb until you know how to comply with their policy's. They have sort of fucked some things up from my understanding in the new ios 14 update. Native ads are also great for advanced affiliates but that requires a lot of knowledge and a pretty big budget (3k minimum imo). If you want to earn your first commissions i recommend you promote cpa offers through push traffic. You won't be making 1000s a day but its a good way to get your feet wet running paid traffic.

that would be best for beginner affiliates to get into
A traffic network with a low deposit like <=$50.00
  • buy cheap traffic that can practice with and get your tracker (or tracking set up and working)
  • check your server's performance if you are hosting your own landing pages
  • have a test target offer and see how that works
Don't worry about making money just yet and test with some cheap traffic until you are competent and satisfied with your set-up.
Proceed to real when you understand what you are doing. If you go slow you may only piss away $20 or $30 for traffic learning the ins and outs of your 'traffic funnel'.

Now you have $20~ left make sure you save enough for your trial run.
Now make a for real run and see if you can get a few conversions or even 1. Deposit another $50 or $100 if you have confidence in that network's traffic. Try playing for real now with variables -offers and creatives --slowly baby steps.

In the beginning go very slow and learn from doing.

In your own opinion what two types of traffic would you say that would be best for beginner affiliates to get into and also what two types of traffic would you say would be for the more advanced affiliates to get into later on?

Each vertical has its own type of traffic that performs better. But you can always start with Facebook traffic. Social traffic is a good solution

Push is good, you may also try FB but network push is cheaper in terms of bids, and easy to optimize.

For both newbies and experienced affiliates, we can recommend push & pop traffic.

Here are some advantages you should pay attention to:
  • Low cost (for example, in RichAds average CPC starts from $0.003).
  • Loyal moderation policy (in comparison with a huge amount of bans on Facebook).
  • Your ads will be delivered to the target audience (if the users are offline they will see your ads later).
  • A wide audience allows you to promote a huge variety of offers.
One more important advantage for newbies on pop traffic is that you don't need to prepare creatives here. Just upload the link to the landing page and start your campaign.

Find some educational materials that will help you get acquainted with the format and know how to launch your first campaign:

I'm actually still deciding on which vertical to start with as I'm seeing so many good ones that I know I can promote well but I appreciate all the info that I've received on here. Im soaking up everything bit of information like a sponge!
If you're a newbie, try promoting sweeps, the payout is only like $2 per lead but they are very easy to convert as they don't require the user to buy anything. People are more likely to give someone their email than spend $20 on a product or however much it is. This vertical is good for beginners and once your comfortable with running ads and know how to optimise, you can then move onto more lucrative verticals. For example if you can get someone to deposit $200-$250 in cryptocurrency you can make somewhere in the region of $600-$800 for one lead. These however require a lot of skill to convince someone to spend this sort of money. I started with sweeps then moved on to casino. Still cheap traffic just a few more steps to get a conversion.

Are you sure?
Someone could sign up as both affiliate and customer
Deposit $250 & bank $600 commission
$350 profit! o_O
Never thought of that, but most offers forbid self filling in so it might work or most likely you will get your account banned permanently. It would also be pretty obvious you filled it in yourself considering how difficult it is to get those types of conversions, 1 click 1 conversions would look a bit suspect. The payouts are aggressive because they struggle to get traffic themselves so they pay others to do the nitty gritty work. Once you crack how to make those offers convert, you're set. The amount you spent on ads is also quite steep because your not getting as many conversions. I should be more specific, newer crypto sites offer more aggressive commissions whereas the more established sites will pay you about $200-$400 per $250 deposit. See some examples below, this is on zeydoo but on crypto related networks the offers will be better.

I know next to nothing about crypto
Although started taking more of an interest from future affiliate POV
There are plenty of people who are interested in crypto
But that haven't taken the plunge yet
So I'd be interested in simplifying the jargon
Then emphasizing the real-world benefits
It sure seems like an interesting niche

Beginner x advanced may be not the best way to view this. As others suggested above, you should take other factors into consideration such as your budget, verticals, tracking tools and skills, etc.

However, I do believe that "paying more for high quality traffic" can be a slightly easier approach for a beginner than "paying less for low quality traffic".

For example, if you compare CPCs on Facebook with most 2nd tier ad platforms, the difference will be brutal. However, most traffic on the internet is sold via an auction system, which means that, at the end of the day, you get what you pay for.

If you know how to be compliant, I think Facebook is still a good ad platform for beginners. You can go international (more affordable than US), create very targeted campaigns and optimize them with a relatively low investment as you don't need to test an enormous amount of combinations to find something with potential.

But, again, it depends on what you're promoting and how you're promoting it. There are many quality traffic sources out there that can be a good starting point.

You can start with many different ways: coupon, cash back, review, blog ...
If you have a lot of budget, paid traffic will speed up the process.
But if you are a beginers and have a little budget, you should invest in a website and start blogging. It's easy to get started and free. If you SEO is good and in the top of google, the traffic you have will be stable.

It's easy to get started and free.

It's only free if you have no bills to pay and your time is worth zero
Sorry but that's my pet hate when people say any online marketing is "free"
I spent a month building out a site before posting ads
That month wasn't free
