Both are good and essential as when you want to monitor the traffic of the website google analytics is gonna show it and if you want to see the indexing status and optimize visibility of the site google webmasters tools is needed.

If you cannot stay away from Google tools then you need to use a combination of both GA and WMT.
For a successful SEO campaign you need Google web master setup and Google analytics setups. For see the indexing and problema you need Google web master and to look the traffic status you must need Google analytics
There is no sense in choosing one over the other because both are essential for SEO, Google analytics lets your monitor traffic. While Google webmaster tools is used to keep an eye on indexing status of website/webpage.
I also use two tools and tutoring on this guy again: ahrefs. rice
Both are good at their own way.

Both google analytics and google webmasters tool both is impotent in SEO.
Both are mandatory. Google analytics is for tracking visitors and which page they accessed how long they stayed in website. But web master tool is to track he security of website.
