Gold As a Newbie, What Stops You From Getting Started

The biggest obstacle would be getting caught up with information overload.

I can tell you have not read through the posts and replies in this forum. I have addressed that "information overload" thing a dozen times. To some it up, "information overload" does not exist!

Read through the posts for my replies on the subject, you will find the solution to this false mindset!

Thinking of how exactly to start. To launch a forum/site or to try with social networks or buying display banners first. Have some niches to start in mind but yet puzzled how to research prospectives of them - to find the best selling ones.

For me, as I have very small budget, mastering the chosen source of free traffic is the most time consuming and doubles the time needed to get everything going. Not to mention regular newbie struggles..

So it is a "battle" led on multiple fronts simultaneously and it may seem overwhelming for someone just starting, because every step requires much learning, but it is only a matter of consistency and perseverance. Once everything is set up and first few campaigns are launched I believe the fog will dissipate and everything will be much easier.

Cheers!

I think i just want scream out loud right now!

Its so frustrating. I don't know what path to follow or even know who is telling the truth. I want to do email marketing as an affiliate but i not sure how to start. What do i write i my emails and what should i giveaway to get them to subscribe? What do i say in follow messages? Do i have to create a blog first etc etc etc. I really want to get going but don't know where to start.

As for me, I was just about to start my affiliate business with Amazon till I found this article.

alidropship.com/drop-shipping-businesses-rules-2017

It says that no one in 2017 should be doing affiliate business, because it's exhausted and dropshipping is the only model for today if you're serious about making money online. In your opinion, is it true?

Really want to get into CPA seriously. Have watched a couple of free youtube videos around the topic - but would prefer a structured course approach that starts right at the very begining. At the moment, i get that all the information is out there availble in a combination of forums, youtube vids, blogs etc. but would prefer to follow someone who is already successful that has taken the time to compile the info into a some kind of structred format. Don't have any issues with paying for traffic as I have capital from previous business to invest. What would be the best comprehensive up to date course covering everything a newbie might need to get started. Have looked on Udemy already, but cant seem to find any courses worth looking at. Any advice would be much appreciated.

I started affiliate marketing about 9 months ago. Now I work in my boxers all day for a few hours and everything else literally runs on autopilot. Trust me, affiliate marketing is not dead AT ALL.

40. Lindsey Hanley Isn't ready to do business IMO

46. Ruann Feels the need to be a techie in order to be a marketer. This is not so at all. You will learn some techie stuff along the way, but you don't have to aspire to be a techie. Most marketers never reach a level of being called a techie. We hire techies!

47. Brixter02 Is letting small things felt in the way. Just pick the tools and get on with it. Pick a tracker and get a landing page builder. Plenty of options for this. Choose them and get on with it. Don't let the little things slow you down or stop you from moving forward.

48. raj14 Feels that figuring this out is a mystery to be solved. In some ways it is, but that's a good thing. This is true for all of us all of the time and this will never end. It's all about figuring out new formulas, always. Thinsk that there is too much information, this is never true. There is never too much information, not ever! This community has all of the same information, one just needs to spend time studying and implementing to find the "gold in them thar hills"!

49. Mareslo Another fear of failing. Honestly, it never ceases to amaze me that people in any way allow this type of thought to enter their mind. Understand this, "YOU WILL HAVE FAILURES!" We all do, everyday! No one is 100% in all they do in this business. We do "trial and error" in all parts of our business everyday. Also, has the mindset that everything is complicated. Not so, but there is a lot that is comprehensive. This simply means there are a lot of moving parts, so to speak. It's a business, every business has lots of facets. Anyone that thinks this business has lots of facets, try going into Real Estate, or a Law Profession, or a Medical field, or the Restaurant biz. By comparison, this industry is like learning to use an Easy Bake oven!

50. Erroshay Not a problem solver, too much of a worry wart about the small things like getting a grip on landing pages, banners, and other creative stuff we use. Gave up here after only five posts. This business requires getting an education, setting a budget, and taking action. She started taking action, and then gave up. A total lack of commitment!

Look At The Patterns Everyone! You will see that everyone has many things in common here. More on this after we get a few more members posting in here. Be sure to read all of the responses.

THIS IS IMPORTANT TO YOU!
Thanks for the lot of information,

Okay then, I must mention this first. You are not articulating your experience at all. I truly have no way of determining your dilemmas. I have to believe that maybe communicating is a shortfall of yours and I would be willing to bet that this has a very large impact on your experiences. For example, you have only one post as I respond to your post here and its already 8 days since you made this post. The most important skill any of us have in any profession is effective communication. Next would be involvement. I honestly don't see how anyone can expect help or success without being involved and communicating well.

Learn to communicate, get involved in the forum, start threads about your dilemmas and be detailed about it. Ask lots of questions and respond to other threads. You can't succeed by sitting quietly in the shadows expecting someone to hand you the magic bullet.
So true.

For me, it is sorting through all the information and then trying to figure out the best way to get things organized so I am not wasting my time on something that will never turn a profit.

There is so many things that I need to learn from scratch and so many dead-end ideas for me to sift through that I will end up wasting my time doing hours and hours of 'busy work' just to find that I still have empty pockets and have nothing but wasted weeks of my life to show for it.

I then end up dishearten by the whole ordeal and will completely give up on everything before eventually finding another idea that makes me want to try the whole vicious cycle all over again. :(

I swear sometimes I feel like I am living in an affiliate version of the movie "Groundhog Day."

I keep living the same 'work my ass off on the computer for no profit' day over and over again.
Hi Jane, it looks like you are not organizating your thoughts. Put a plan in place and sail 2ru

For me i feel that there is lack of particular type of information about Internet Marketing like:

There is so much confusion on how a beginner should start.
Some recommend POF others say you will burn your money. (No indication how much minimum you should start with anywhere)
Others would say go with 7search , but again it appears like with 7search you would surely be at loss as so many unsuccessful journeys are there. Only successful journeys with 7search are those of very high level marketers. (Again no one mentions how much money should you put in 7search in beginning)

As a newbie to me it appears as if the CPA market is very risky, and as i see it though i have around 600$ now (to be used for online money making) but still i am always fearful that it is like 90% sure all this money would get wasted up. It may not be true but it appears so. Maybe CPA is indeed a risky market so unless i have a steady flow of income from other online ventures to support this i feel maybe i should stay away.

Then seeing the info online it appears that the learning curve for CPA is maybe very steep. It may or may not be so. Lading pages, images, offer selection, keywords, traffic source selection, targeting and everything. It may or may not be so but it appears so.

So because of these things i have kind off maybe postponed my affiliate ventures.
This information is perfect from my point of view because every thing which has benefits will surely have risks.
But CPA campaigns provide great earning because this marketing model encourages affiliates to target visitors who are highly willing to be the customer and have desires to do the actions

Yes, this was a very informative post. Thanks

***information overload***
This one thing stops me from being a millionaire lol seriously :) , I know my potential and I know how fast I grasp the things and I can think out of the box every time but this sh*t called "Information Overload" becomes a hurdle every time. I have downloaded more than 1000 ebooks and video tutorials in last 5 years.. you name I have it, almost almost every industry related to Internet call it Money Black book, Millionaire secret underground HYIPs or outsourcing secrets, Cash machine xyz Bullsh*t blah blah blah I have it all. I know If I had placed my focus on one particular thing before, I could have gone so far. :(

Although I am trying to focus and stick to one thing as now I have realized (so late). And I am very much sure this is the reason why so many people drop the idea of internet business because anywhere they look, its filled with Good info and bad info and they cannot distinguish which one of them is right. Which way to go, Who could guide better. Every person is trying to sell something.

I like when the post is full of sense
