Anybody promoting VOD (streaming) ? :)

Hi everybody - my intro post can be found here with some background ;)

I've built a (legal) streaming site for promoting VOD CC Free Trial offers, depending on geo the payouts range from about $8-$60. It's made some money through paid backlinks/guest posting but i'm not great at systematically testing various sources of traffic to it. I was hoping to network with others and work together on testing various ideas. I can get you approved into Ad-Center (one of the leading VOD networks) if need be and supply code for your own LP scripts to display movies/tv shows etc if you have some experience and are happy to share results/ideas.

Hi Mike,
Are you basically looking for new traffic sources to your streaming site or new VOD offers for your website?

Hi, essentially tl;dr
Made fancy streaming site, struggling to monetize it by sending paid traffic to it.

Have paid for seo services and started writing content but the services i've bought are so poor its depressing. Maybe serves me right for purchasing off Seoclerks and Fiverr :(

As for paid traffic. Currently testing Yahoo Gemini Native (slow process, 24+ hour approvals, and they can be fussy). If you can get the CTR up you can get 3c clicks though. Also they have very granular targeting but todays test had 1 impression so perhaps i've gone a little too deep:(. Tried push in the past, had some success with an LP in ES speaking countries but like i often do i optimized it until it no longer works. My motto is "if its not broke - fix it until it is".

Thing with me is i am very loyal - if im with a network I feel i can't change because we're all pally on Skype (was worse at conferences when you're invited to their meetups and feel if you change network you're cheating on them :)). Anyway lastnight i researched VPN affiliate programs and signed up to 4 to test - recurring commissions look enticing. And their landers look very nice. So next plan is essentially: streaming site -> play video -> plays intro -> not available in your country, please use a VPN.

In any case, you need to bring right users to your website but I think you are focusing on wrong part.
You act like you have users and trying to find right offer to monetize them.
Apparently not much users for now.
Is it possible to see your website?
I could not see if you have shared before.

Appreciate the reply.
I have had conversions with the VOD offer, made a few k but far less recently, i was just thinking of trying a new offer (VPN), one that is legitimate as opposed to the somewhat shady looking offer URL's of ad-center. But again maybe that's my "shiny object syndrome" kicking in

Offer page can be seen at prnt.sc/teroi5
I've PM'd link to my site to get your opinion.

I think facebook traffic would be a good alternative to drive more traffic to your website as it can be found attractive nowadays by users from different demographics.

Interesting. Aren't Facebook very picky about what you promote? Would they allow such "streaming" sites?

I had InfoLinks on my radar, purely because i can target individual movie/tv show names as keywords and direct them to the specific video page. Your opinion?

never used infolinks before so someone who has experience can let you kno about it here.
but for facebook there should be some testing till you get your ad approved.
I had some partners doing this. let me check and share their feedbacks on it.

VOD is a term from 15 years ago LOL
Netflix, Amazon adapted the schema with monthly membership.
I am familiar with VOD from the porn industry (years ago) --tubes obsoleted most of the monetization
Amazon and YouTube streaming of pay-per-view videos is probably the closest thing to VOD today.

I can't see how you could compete --with DRM media --without bootlegging the price point or other form of copyright infringement.

I know a person who had good camps on Infolinks , but he did sweeps then. Not sure lead offer or CC submit...

VOD is still used as a synonym for streaming offers. Not looking to compete with the likes of the names you mentioned, purely saw the state of many of the current streaming sites in google and wanted to give it a shot myself after having some success with promoting the offer.
