There is no fixed number.

It depends on many factors:

• the product or service you're selling
• how many other sites are selling it
• where the traffic is coming from
• how much is return traffic
• whether the traffic is from desktop or mobile surfers
• various characteristics of your website and how well it ranks for your top search terms
• etc., etc.

But you are going to get a lot of visits before you make a sale. That's just the nature of the game with online sales for anyone.
