Well, you can try some basic promoting of your website, like flyers. I did this with a website of mine and it worked...2000 visitors in its 6th day of 'life'.
Beside promoting your website and bringing traffic, there are many ways of earning money from facebook..like creating apps, facebook ads and don't forget about the games.
I have a simple twitter account and I use it to promote my latest articles on my blog. I'm pretty satisfied with it, as twitter is now my 3rd traffic source, after google and facebook.
When it comes to Dreamwaver, you can design your site from scratch, make it as you wish...but it's a bit hard if you ask me. Wordpress instead is easier to use and you can customize it pretty damn much...they're a lot of plugins and addons that you can use.
I've chosen marketing in general and driving traffic. I've just started earning from affiliate marketing...and I'm really enthusiasted when I see how many sources of traffic I find for my blog.
Hey guys,
I'm lowrider, a 21 years old student. I'm working as a freelance writer and blogger right now. I'm here because I want to learn a bit more about affiliate marketing, as I just began using this method to earn some extra money.
I hope I'll enjoy my time here.
cheers,
low

Attention: "role based name" email prefixes such as support, webmaster, info, contact, forum, service, affiliate, admin, traffic, partners, marketing, etc., for our member accounts are not permitted. They are acceptable for a vendor listing, but not for the member email. This is due to bulk email processors scrubbing them for delivery due to extremely high bounce rates. If we discover you signed up with a role based name we will give you only one message to change it. After 3 days your account will be removed if the email is not changed.
