Hi everyone,
I just started an affiliate program that is in-house and I've run into a problem. I need a 1099 form to give to my affiliates. But I want them to be able to fill it out and send it to me online- like when you sign up for an affiliate network.
Does anybody know how to do this...
I've run into a bizarre problem. I'm comforting myself by saying that I've become a victim to over-thinking- like how my economics professors couldn't balance their checkbook. I have a master's in cultural anthropology, and I'm finding myself stumped on how to do demographic research for PPC...
Hi everyone. I'm working up a launch schedule for a new program and I was wondering if anyone might have a standard checklist or other such document that they'd be willing to share- or just an example of their own launch schedule. I feel like I'm bound to miss something since I'm pretty new at...
That's all really really practical- thank you so much!
I'm finding that I've ended up in very personalized niches right now. As in- I'll be personally calling a carefully selected group of people- and having them promote the product. So in a sense, the promotion is actually one of the easier...
I think I'm going to start with a network. Probably SaS, but I'm not sure yet. He has a really brilliant design and web building team in-house, so I may implement an in-house solution as well- but I thought I'd start on a network.
I just posted another question, so I won't belabor the details of my program that I'm working on. I have one second major concern. The company has been around for awhile, but the product has not. I suggested to the company owners that they establish themselves a little more before we get an...
Hi there!
I just got off the phone with a merchant who is going to have me set up and manage his affiliate program (ok- it's someone I know personally, so it's not the biggest achievement, but it's something).
Here's my trouble. He has a great product, the site has good traffic, a decent...
That's just what I was looking for. Thank you!
So here's a thought (I'm working on setting up a very complicated program, so I'm giving tracking some serious consideration right now). I'm imagining a solution in which you reserve the in-house program for your big players and keep others on the...
Linda- as always- your help is spot on. Thank you.
I was wondering if I could elicit some opinions on a broader level, though. And maybe there's a good post in here that I haven't seen- I'm happy to just be redirected. Basically- if you're an affiliate manager, hat kinds of headaches or magical...
I've been thinking over the same question. I am working with a merchant who sells services to new businesses- training and connections mostly. There's some event marketing, some training marketing, and some information marketing. It's going to be a complicated project- I can see at least four...
Amen on standing through some failures. With so many easy money promises out there, it's easy to forget that it's like learning anything and real learning involves failure.
I also think that since most of us start out part time, there's a serious time management difficulty. In all fields of...
I find the whole thing really sad. I've had many friends who worked for them and now don't. Sergei and Larry used to have hot debates about whether they should build roads in Africa or provide worldwide free internet. Now the company seems to be solely focused on control. The now cliche "google...
I use both Google keyword tool and traffic travis. The advantage of the latter is that it facilitates "going broad" really well. You can build up thousands of keywords a list of thousands of keywords and then narrow them back down with the tools built into the program. I like the Google keyword...
Huh- I'm glad to know that. I hadn't gotten too far into figuring out their system yet- sounds awfully black hat. I probably should have been tipped off by the fact that I stared at their "how it works" section for a good five minutes and navigated away with a headache.
Thanks for the report...
