A 20-year-old Philadelphia woman posted an open offer on Facebook to kill her child’s father to the tune of $1,000. A young Darby, Pennsylvania man responded to the woman by agreeing to carry out the hit.
Philadelphia police said the young mom, London Eley, posted a message on her Facebook page on May 23 that read, ”I will pay somebody a stack to kill my baby father.”
The woman allegedly posted the comment after having a violent argument with her ex-boyfriend.
According to NBC Philadelphia, the 20-year-old who took Eley up on her offer, Tim Bynum, responded to her by stating, “say no more….what he look like?…. where he be at?”
The young man then apparently went a step further by telling Eley that he needed the money upfront in order to seal the deal. In no uncertain terms, he stated, “need dat stack 1st… ima mop that bull.”
Ironically Eley’s ex contacted the authorities when his aunt happened to stumble upon the back and forth comments between the young mom and her intended hit-man-for-hire on Facebook.
Eley was arrested on Friday and charged with solicitation to commit murder and is being held on a $250,000 bond.
When investigators obtained a warrant and searched Bynam’s home, they discovered a 22-caliber fully loaded handgun with the serial number etched off. The young man was arrested Sunday, charged with attempted murder and a weapons charge and is being held on a $350,000 bond.
Neither party has posted bail.
