What types of affiliate offers are still working on Google search?

Hey guys,

I've tested a few campaigns with various types of offers eg software downloads, clickbank info products but am struggling to get them profitable. My CPCs are a lot higher that what they used to be a year ago - almost double. My offer payouts are $30-$50. I only have a budget of 1k left and thinking about where I should allocate it. Continue with Google ads and try higher paying offers or shift to facebook ads.

I've also used various spy tools and manual methods to look up other affiliates on Google but I'm not seeing very many. Leaves me wondering if affiliate marketing is still working on google ads.

Is any one here still making money with affiliate marketing on google search ads? What sort of offers are working? eg info products, ecom?

Google search still converts well for a few specific verticals in my experience. Finance and insurance offers (loans, debt consolidation, insurance quotes) are strong because there is clear purchase intent. Legal verticals like personal injury attorneys also hold up well. Home services (HVAC, plumbing, roofing) convert consistently if you match the local intent. SaaS and software tools still work if you are bidding on exact pain-point keywords rather than broad terms. The issue with Clickbank-style offers is that Google has gotten stricter about bridge pages. Stick to high-intent, service-based verticals and make sure your landing page has real content and passes editorial review.

Right now I'm testing Google Search Ads for affiliate marketing and documenting everything on my blog. The offers I'm testing are high lifetime value ones, basically recurring SaaS affiliate programs. The commissions look really attractive on paper. But honestly, in 2026, sending Google traffic directly to a landing page and actually converting at a profit is pretty much a long shot. You need a proper funnel, retargeting, and continuous follow up marketing to bring your costs down and actually make money.

Those rough and ready days from ten years ago are long gone. Everything is precision now.

I never put offers in search ads. I use ad copy on Google to draw in new users on my content sites. I entice them to get in the know with my niche authority and hook them on offers once they come and take advantage of the content.
