What Most People Miss About Push Traffic

Push traffic is not one source.

It’s hundreds of different audiences.

Some convert. Some don’t.

Treating it as one source = mistake.

Zone-level analysis changes everything.

Do you optimize by zones?

At Reacheffect, we prioritize zone-level analysis because each publisher represents a unique audience with different conversion patterns. Success in 2026 comes from granular optimization; if you aren't blacklisting the turkeys at the zone level, you’re just gambling with your ROI.

Zone-level is the baseline. Two things I'd add that took me years to learn the hard way:
1. Subscription age segmentation. A zone's fresh subscribers (under 7 days) and aged subscribers (60+ days) behave like completely different audiences. Fresh converts higher on curiosity offers and mainstream finance. Aged is your bread and butter for crypto, nutra, and anything needing trust. Most push platforms expose this as a targeting option but very few affiliates actually split-test on it.
2. Frequency caps per subscriber, not per zone. The default is one ad per subscriber per hour. Drop it to one per six hours on premium offers and your CR usually jumps more than any creative tweak. You're fighting subscription fatigue, not zone quality.
Also: device-OS-browser triplets matter more than country on push. A campaign winning on Chrome-Windows-desktop often dies on Samsung-Android even inside the same GEO. Build your whitelists at the triplet level, not the country level.
What verticals are you running on push right now?

completely agree that treating push as one source is a huge mistake. honestly once you start isolating traffic by zone, device, browser, subscription age, and time of day. you realize how fragmented push traffic actually is.

a lot of campaigns that look “dead” globally are sometimes profitable in very specific pockets once you go deep enough into segmentation.
