What Is A Landing Page?

A landing page is web page, created specifically for the purposes of a marketing or advertising campaign. It's where a visitor “lands” when they have clicked on your google or fb ad or similar. The idea is to help you convert visitors to your site into leads because it provides you with the means for capturing an email address or creating attractive content with a call to action means.

By the broadest definition the first page that you arrive at on a website -- the first session of a 24/hr day in some cases. Say the first page I look at on Facebook is my homepage. Or, the first page on google is 'google news' .

In a marketing meaning it's different -- a landing page is part of a conversion funnel

- In online marketing, a landing page, sometimes known as a "lead capture page", "static page" or a "lander", or a "destination page", is a single web page that appears in response to clicking on a search engine optimized search result or an online advertisement.
- In digital marketing, a landing page is a standalone web page, created specifically for the purposes of a marketing or advertising campaign. It’s where a visitor “lands” when they have clicked on a Google AdWords ad or similar.

A landing page, sometimes called a destination page, is the web page that visitors arrive at after they click the link on a search engine results page. A landing page can be the first page of a website that was advertised on the search engine results page, or from one of the natural results from the search query. This page generally displays logical information, usually, something that pertains directly to the keywords searched or has the keywords directly on the page.

A landing page is a standalone web page that a person "lands" on after clicking through from an email, ad, or other digital location. Once they're on your landing page, users are encouraged to take an action, such as joining your list or buying your products.

In digital marketing, a landing page is a independent web page, created specifically for the purposes of a marketing or advertising campaign. It’s where a visitor comes to when they have clicked on an ad.

A Landing page is a web page which serves as the entry point for a website or a particular section of a website" - That's what Google says when you search what is a landing page.

A Landing page is simply wherever your user is being redirected to, after clicking your Clickurl
you may call it destination page also in some cases

A landing page refers to any Web page that a user arrives at after clicking a hyperlink. The definition of landing page has changed from being synonymous with a website’s home page to referring to any page within a website that is linked to from another location on the Web.

A landing page is usually a stable URL that is indexed by search engines, as opposed to a temporary splash or jump pages that are used to move traffic to a site for marketing purposes.

A landing page is also an important term and concept for inbound marketing and lead generation. It's a web page deliberately created to help you convert visitors to your site into leads because it provides you with the means for capturing an email address.
