Web Development How Tos Niche, Good Idea?

So, I have been a web developer for more than a decade now and I enjoy what I do.
I also have been a blogger since the last couple of years or so and have discovered that I enjoy writing too.

I had this idea of coming up with another blog, mainly basic How to stuff around web-development? Do you think, competition wise it is a good enough niche to devote one's time to? Or is it a high-competition niche?

I plan to have a supporting YouTube channel to complement the blog.

Competition wise, how good an idea is it to start a web development tutorial blog for beginners? The blog will be complemented by a YouTube channel as well.
