Well I was kind of hoping there was something you know that is similar to Textbroker, where I don’t think an interview is required, and you just find and claim articles to write and the money will be yours if the client likes your writing, there is no competition involved once you apply.

Why are you afraid of interview? It`s a good experience. Sometimes, I go to interviews so as not to lose these skills and are not afraid when I really want to start working in a particular company.

Well, that's different. Merit based is a whole other matter.
If you show a client a sample and the rest is for sale --that might work.
In any business reputation is needed along with ability --good luck --keep trying
