Using WordPress front page as posts is returning funky snippet in Google

I just switched from a static front page to a posts front page and it's working OK. The problem is that when Google shows my site in search results the snippet is:

Secondary menu. Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content ...

Does anyone know how to fix this? I would normally address this in page or post editor via SEO plugin tools, however as a posts front page there is nowhere to go the address this.
