A and B test I guess. Personally, I like short animated marketing videos (as a viewer).
I don't like wordy (overly long) marketing videos --but that's me so ...

Gif's in emails and social platforms work well. Make sure they deliver a great angle and the copy delivers a great hook!

Using them on social media has worked more then non social media locations for us. Although not really good results either way.
