UK-based servers

Do anyone have suggestions for a webhost who uses UK-based servers, doesn't cost the earth but still offers unlimited space, sub-domains, etc. I recently moved my sites to JustHost and saved loads, but lost all my google UK rankings as a result.

Moving to a new host should not lose you rankings, what makes you think you lost your ranking because of server move? You can find some UK web hosting company at the hosting company review page found here

Lost ranking

In the week after the move my Google.co.uk ranking droped considerably. I am assuming that is because Google no longer recognised the site as a UK site - the Google.com ranking improved a couple of points but because I was already P1 it is hard to say by how much the move helped the .com ranking.

But there is a tool in Google webmaster tool that allows you to notify Google of the country you want your site accociated with, have you done that? I am not sure you drop in rank is due to google not recognising your site as a UK site, it could be other issues

I am absolutely sure that is the issue. It is a P4 site on Google worldwide.

Using the webmaster tool has an adverse effect for searches in other regions for an international website like mine.
