If you're tired of relying on paid traffic that disappears overnight, it's time to build channels you control. Here are 5 proven methods that helped me grow consistent, high-quality traffic without being at the mercy of ad platforms.
  1. Email List Building and Automation: Email is still important. I capture leads with lead magnets and automate sequences using tools like ConvertKit or MailerLite to re-engage and convert users over time.
  2. SEO and Backlink Building I focus on low-competition keywords and build backlinks through guest posts, HARO, and niche forums. Once ranked, pages bring in passive, targeted traffic every single day; no ad spend needed.
  3. Self-Hosted Push Notifications Instead of paying per message, I use a self-hosted push tool like Larapush to send unlimited web notifications. It gives me full control over audience engagement without relying on third-party platforms.
  4. Reddit Marketing Done Right Reddit traffic is valuable if you're helpful, not salesy. I join niche subreddits, answer questions, and subtly recommend content, driving real traffic from people who are already interested.
  5. Quora, Medium, and LinkedIn Content: These platforms rank quickly on Google. I repurpose my blog posts into answers, articles, and insights that drive warm traffic and build trust with a broader audience.
When you stop chasing traffic and start owning it, your growth becomes stable and scalable. Blend a few of these, and you’ll never worry about algorithm changes or ad bans again.

good breakdown—especially the shift in mindset from “renting” to owning your traffic. too many marketers build their entire business on ad platforms without a long-term foundation, and when CPMs spike or bans hit, they scramble.

we see a lot of our clients blending both worlds: building owned channels while using CPC/CPM traffic to test new angles, build retargeting pools, and drive volume during peak windows. paid traffic doesn’t have to be disposable if it's used strategically—especially when paired with landing pages that feed your email list or push sub base. have you ever experimented with paid traffic just to accelerate the growth of your owned channels?

Thanks for this and i want to say this are some good traffic sources but you should put your focus on email marketing as with social media sites you are siting on a very risk ground

For example i just get banned on linkedin without no plauzible reason and they dont even give me an email saying the reason of the ban

Also lets say on reddit no matter how safe you play and lets say an admin dont like a link you shared it can ban you in no time

Most of what is contained in this opening post (OP) has been heard over and over—unsubstantiated, generic online marketing babble without any real substance or specifics that could be useful.

Explain how you can “own” traffic when you don’t even own a product or service—I find that delusional and useless bullshit.

With the exception of your email list, you don’t own jack shit.
