Seeking Help Struggling to Recruit Affiliates on TikTok Shop

Hey everyone,
I'm hoping to get some advice from those of you experienced with affiliate marketing, especially TikTok Shop affiliates.

Background: I own a dietary supplement brand that's been doing quite well on Amazon for several years now. I recently decided to expand to TikTok Shop, thinking it would be a natural next step. However, I'm quickly realizing that everything I learned from Amazon is basically useless here – TikTok Shop is a completely different beast, and it seems heavily dependent on getting affiliates on board.

What I've Tried (and Failed At):
  • Spent several thousand dollars on influencer videos – got the content, but zero sales driven from them
  • Opened up collaboration opportunities to affiliates (both open and targeted)
  • Reached out to various types of creators/affiliates who I thought would be a good fit
  • Despite all this, I'm getting crickets – no one seems interested in collaborating
What I'm Struggling With: I feel like I'm missing something fundamental about how the TikTok Shop affiliate ecosystem works. On Amazon, I could rely on PPC and organic ranking, but here it seems like without affiliate buy-in, you're dead in the water.

My questions:
  1. What are the best strategies for recruiting affiliates for TikTok Shop?
  2. What commission rates/incentives actually work to get affiliates interested?
  3. Are there specific platforms or communities where TikTok Shop affiliates hang out that I should be approaching?
  4. Am I doing something wrong with my collaboration setup or outreach?
  5. Is there anything I can do to leverage my Amazon success (we're doing 10,000+ monthly sales there) to attract TikTok Shop affiliates? Does this kind of social proof even matter to them?
I'm willing to put in the work and learn, I just need to figure out what actually works in this space. Any advice, tips, or even hard truths would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

The problem is TikTok affiliates work by different logic than Amazon. They choose products with ready-made creatives and proven conversions. You need to: test the product on TikTok Ads paid traffic to get initial sales and statistics, collect winning creatives and hooks that convert, offer 25%+ commission (standard for dietary supplements on TikTok), create an affiliate starter pack with best video concepts and scripts, find micro-influencers through Creator Marketplace and direct outreach. Amazon success shows product quality, but TikTok affiliates want to see CTR and conversion rates specifically in their ecosystem.
