So, Faxes - Old School?

Maybe I am alone in this (though I doubt it) but I have found that faxes are one of the best way to get people's attention. I have found that fax results are not only better then traditional e-mail, but I am finding that prospects are more receptive. Anyone else have an old-school trick that still works today?

I'm surprised that you find faxing to be better than email. When I had a fax machine in the office, and more recently when I used internet faxing regularly, unsolicited faxes just went from the machine to the trash bin. I found them more annoying than unsolicited email because they wasted my ink and paper. I never read more than the first few words and I never responded to a single one.

Hmm maybe it depends on the company. I'm targeting older people (60+) who are not behind their computer every hour of the day : ). Currently looking at the different options here.
