Every day, the average American picks up the phone 96 times. Is this information surprising to you? Well, it isn't for us because we are more reliant on our phones than ever before. Our smartphones have evolved into much more than a means of communication. It's safe to assume that today's smartphones are similar to little computers that fit comfortably in our pockets or purses. This phone loyalty is fantastic news for publishers that want to make money by delivering bulk SMS messages. Why? You’ll find out soon!

How often do people use their phones all across the world?

No one really wants to leave their phones. According to a Telegraph research, one in every five 16 to 24-year-olds spends up to seven hours every day online. That's the equivalent of working for more than two full weeks at a time. According to the data, the majority of people text someone on the phone (88 percent), and sending emails is the second most popular activity (70 percent ).

SMS Marketing

As you can see, phones have evolved into something we can't imagine living without in everyday life, and SMS marketing has a bright future ahead of it. Despite the fact that modern man is bombarded with numerous communications in various forms, the open rate of SMS texts is astounding, reaching up to 98 percent. You simply have to glance at this number to see that the result is impressive, but comparing SMS marketing to email marketing provides even another argument for its success. The open rate for emails has surpassed 20%. As a result, SMS marketing triumphs.

What factors contribute to such a high SMS open rate?

According to Instagiv's research, 90 percent of SMS messages are read within three minutes. This is owing to the fact that the vast majority of users do not give up their smartphones, and response times are extremely quick in this situation. Furthermore, because mobile phone owners are accustomed to exchanging SMS messages with their family, reading messages is a reflex activity for them.

SMS marketing and affiliate marketing

Now, when you're creating your marketing approach, consider what's most important to you. Effectiveness was probably the first thing that came to mind. Efficiency, which will be linked to profit in this scenario. A high SMS open rate and quick response imply that this kind of client contact should be employed in affiliate marketing. Your offer will reach a large audience thanks to brief text messages, and they will not disregard what you have to offer.

Why should SMS marketing and affiliate marketing be combined?

1. Maintain a competitive advantage.

The most prominent strategies used by publishers to enhance traffic are SEO operations, running your own blog, and PPC advertising. When promoting affiliate programs, publishers rarely use SMS marketing. This is wonderful news for you since you will learn a new approach to reach a niche that will enable you to stand out from the crowd and earn money by reading this.

2. Communication that is quick

SMS messages are read within three minutes after delivery, as previously stated. This is especially crucial for offers that are only available for a limited time. Publishers these days want their offer to reach the buyer as fast as possible, whether it's on Black Friday, Cyber Monday, or Valentine's Day.

3. Purchase decisions are heavily influenced.

According to Nielsen Polska research, SMS messages affect the purchase decisions of up to 48 percent of recipients. Make sure the message's content is appealing but not overbearing, and persuade the receiver to click on the affiliate link.

4. Time and date of delivery

It's impossible to say when is the optimal time to send SMS messages because it varies so much on the sort of offer. If you make money promoting adult affiliate programs, setting up mass sending in the evening hours is the best solution because your clients are more likely to have the right conditions to learn about your offer (e.g. they are already at home, finished work) and have time to watch what you have to offer them without hesitation. The majority of affiliate program promotional messages are issued in the morning.

HOW DO I CREATE A CONTACT DATABASE?

It can take a long time to gather contacts for bulk SMS sending. You can, of course, utilize an external database, but the cost of acquisition is considerable, and the effectiveness is frequently low. As a result, we'll concentrate on growing our own contact list. How do you go about doing it? It isn't nearly as complicated as it appears. When selling a product, arranging a competition, survey, poll, or offering discounts, you might ask the buyer for their phone number. You may also use a simple widget on your website to encourage customers to sign up for your SMS newsletter.

Let’s erase all non-existent numbers from each contact database on a regular basis as part of our "review" process. Many base owners overlook this step, which is a mistake because they are charged for each SMS sent to a "dead contact," or one that does not exist. Following that, any numbers that are wrong or stationary should be removed from the database. You should also delete contacts who have not agreed to receive SMS messages; failing to do so could result in legal and financial ramifications.

Do you want to know if you may use the SMS database you generated up until 2018? Yes, but only if it was developed in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Office and on the grounds of legality, necessity, and time limitation, substantive correctness, and purposefulness. If your database fits all of the above-mentioned standards, you do not need to collect consents in connection with the GDPR.

Nice analyze. Many guys don't want to try SMS marketing because of the high price of the leads, and send outs.
But obviously,SMS marketing is the cheapest and the effective one.

Talk to the hand!
This sms crap comes in marked as spam here LMAO but sms marketing is annoying as hell.
You are just fooling yourselves or looking for real suckers with time to waste. Chump change ;)

Many issues affect whether a given SMS will be considered spam or not. The mailing system, the recipient number, whether or not there is a link in the content, whether or not there are words like "winning" that Google might consider spam. It's the same as with emails - some end up in spam because it was poorly crafted, and some have a very high success rate. SMS means a very high level of plays and a very high level of deliverability, so it is definitely worth not forgetting about this form. ;)

SMS marketing is so problematic. Every time I have explored the powers of SMS with affiliate marketing, it's bitten back. I think I'm officially out. Push is a great alternative which seems to be growing nicely.

Mainly complaints from people receiving the text messages. Plus very high unsubscribe rates eats into the ROI.
