Hello Everyone
I have uploaded a script to my site via ftp but I cant get it to work. I dont want to spam so I wont mention the script name.
My problem is that I dont know how to use/ find the path.

The instructions say I should copy/paste this code.

I called the owner about adding the script to my add on domains (I use an add on domain to 'try out' stuff, rather than use my proper site) and he sent me this

You will need to create an XXXXXX (script name) folder in each addon domain's folder. Then the path should be:

/home/jpb1958/public_html/XXXXXX/

I done this and copy/pasted the above, all as per instructions. No go!......I'm stumped.

Does anyone know of a tutorial for dummies so that I can try to resolve this?

The path may well change from one server (or hosting plan) to another. Check the path with your host as a starting point.

Makes sense although I'm with Hostgator so I would have thought it would be fine.

It has nothing to do with whether you have a good host or a poor one. It's just a matter of how they've set up the directory structures.

My paths even changed slightly when I moved from a VPS to a dedicated server with the same host.

I feel kinda dumb.....nothing new there then

To get the script to work I needed to tick the runPHP check box at the bottom of the post page.

Now I know
