If you?re going to promote a product on its launch date, I would really appreciate if you guys take time and share your experiences. I?d like to know your approach towards promoting that product.
Launch date marketing is very hard, but can also be the most fruitful portion of a products life. It's hard to gauge where exactly the product will end up. It's also hard to tell your customer base right away because there may be other uses that aren't identifiable until the release.
To anticipate a launch date, you should tell everyone you know about it first and foremost. Tell people you don't know as well. Get the spark started anyway you can. It's hard to start a fire from scratch, but if you work hard enough you will win.
If you can get anticipation built up for the launch, all the better. Try this: Tell potential customers it will be x amount more than what it really is, but give them a discount coupon for pre-ordering that brings the price back down to it's original value. This will work on some, the others you must do something else.
OR Tell them it will be cheaper than it's advertised elsewhere, and raise the price on s/h
For others, you should try to get them to remember the launch date. People don't remember things until the third time, and then if they want to they can remember it. Use color schemes to your advantage, and try to highlight the emphasis using appropriate color blends and backgrounds.

Attention: "role based name" email prefixes such as support, webmaster, info, contact, forum, service, affiliate, admin, traffic, partners, marketing, etc., for our member accounts are not permitted. They are acceptable for a vendor listing, but not for the member email. This is due to bulk email processors scrubbing them for delivery due to extremely high bounce rates.
