Owner not aware link has been submitted

Hi

Have you ever come across a owner not being aware that his/her link has been submitted to a directory? After you approve the link, the owner replies to say, we did not submit a link.

Why would someone else want to spend their time to submit links for someone they don't know?

I think its possible, how it could happen I do not know I think I have come across such complaint before as well.

I had an email today to confirm Midland Internet had been approved on a site I had not submitted to.
I didnt follow the link just incase.

Some people try to sabotage competitors by adding their links to hundreds of thousands of places. Others just do it as a favour.
